Attempt to Recall Republican Senators In Wisconsin is Underway

In response to Wisconsin’s Governor Scott Walker and Republican Senators attempts to strip state union workers of their collective bargaining rights citizens of Wisconsin have decided to launch a recall effort of some of the Republicans involved. Once the recall initiative is filed the citizens will have 60 days to get the required amount of signatures necessary to have another election with the candidates recalled and Democratic candidates. This is presently seen as the best option to defeat the governor’s union killing bill as Republicans are in control of the state legislature.

The amount of signatures varies from 15,000 for some senators to a little over 20,000 for others. The number of senators that must be recalled and defeated for this bill to be repealed is simply three, because Republicans control the Senate 19-14. Winning three seats would shift that balance to 17-16 in favor of Democrats. The citizens participating in the recall have 60 days to get the required number of signatures turned in. A recall of the Governor cannot take place until he has served at least a year in office. There is widespread belief that this recall effort can be successful with specific senators who won by very small margins.

It is vital to the middle class that the unions remain a viable alternative for careers. They help provide greater job security by keeping employees from feeling along and isolated and basically afraid to speak out on their own behalf. They also are a check on private enterprises effectively running all over the middle and working class citizens of this country. Of course there is also the most important reason that this assault on unions, as President Obama put it, is happening in the first place. And that reason is simply that unions are the best way to contribute politically and organizationally to the Democratic Party in general. Republican members of government all over the country have been heard stating that unions are the last thing keeping the Democratic Party alive. Whoever prevails in Wisconsin and Ohio will likely be able to turn the tide all over the country in one way or another. The biggest question now is who wants it more and what are they willing to do to win?

I find it, oh so curious, that all of the Pro Walker people can do is scream “Foul” and use the bible against their opponents.

Let’s stick to the facts and honorable protest.

If you have anything to say ” Read the Bill” I know you haven’t, don’t you?

These tea bag haters have never read a bible in their lives. In fact I’m pretty sure the average bagger cannot read at all.

Now that Ohio has a similar bill that just passed the Senate and is on to the house, I am paying attention to how the recall vote is working for WI. My Senators and Representatives are all Democrat so I know they will vote against this bill. It’s a similar situation in OH though where there is a Republican governor and a Republican majority in office. Also, I heard that OH has about 50% of the workers as public union workers. There are still union members in the private sector but it isn’t as large as the public sector. Oh and there are all of us who are STILL unemployed and still waiting to see when our federal and state governments will work on creating new jobs. Not the low end, minimum wage jobs, we want to make something relatively close to what we were making when we lost our jobs. It’s not like I was making all that much-less than $30,000/year. I really don’t want to backtrack to the wages I was making 10 years ago, thank you very much.

A history lesson: Hitler disbanded the unions first. Then, he required all skilled workers to become members of the Nazi party in order to work. You weren’t a member, you weren’t going to get hired (a lot of skilled workers were self employed, like painters). After that, it was the unskilled workers needed to become members of the Nazi party in order to get promotions in the factory. As Germany was hurting pretty bad from WWI expenses (they were required to pay reparations for the war) and there was the Great Depression underway that hurt everyone across the world (kind of like today only food is cheaper at the moment), promotions when you were making 10 cents a day were a big deal. This is how the Nazi party got to be so big and powerful. It became the ONLY party in the country by forcing everyone to become members in order to live. There was a big socialist/communist movement before the Nazi party got so big. I am guessing things would have looked a lot different had the unions been allowed to remain intact and people weren’t forced to join a party. The states that have these Republican majorities in the government are pushing to disband unions to turn this country into a one party system. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Walker is quickly trying to turn WI into a police state and he and his thugs will do anything to bust the Unions and have control because they are all Koch Whores! WI is not only fighting for their rights but our rights as a Country! We cannot allow corporations to win this battle. Their need to control this Country, eliminate the poor and middle class will be the fall of the U.S. People in this Country better wake up and realize that the Tea Party is NOT a grassroot movement but a well organized corporate take over and the sheeple are falling in line…..Call for Walker on line 2 from your Koch dealer!

I hope the Unions bring Wisconsin to it’s knee’s! Then you people will be satisfied. The Unions are what is keeping the Dems alive! No Unions, No Dems! Wisconsin is BROKE! What don’t you people understand about that? I feel sorry for the children that these MORONS are supposedly educating. Calling people who disagree with them NAZI’S? They obviously don’t know what the word implies. It’s just like the Dems to attack someone personally, because they don’t have a leg to stand on otherwise. And as far as OBOZO is concerrned, he is known as will always be known as THE WORST PRESIDENT IN U.S. HISTORY. HEIL HILTER! FUCKING MORONS!

Wisconsin is only “broke” because bozo Walker gave big tax breaks to the corporations that got him elected to artificially create the budget crisis. Why don’t you complain about that? How long can America afford to make major concessions to big business so that they can charge us more to make more. It is simply unreal that bimbos like you complain about teachers that make a few dollars more thn you do, and don’t even mention the CEO’s that make 400-500 times that.

It would be so refreshing if you people, FOR ONCE, would do some research before you open your mouths. Walker is the reason the state is “broke”. Don’t blame it on the Unions! They gave Walker every concession he wanted EXCEPT COLLECTIVE BARGAINING. If it was TRULY about the budget, Walker would have taken the deal and left the collective bargaining battle for another day. But it’s NOT about the budget. It’s about Walker and his cronies giving to the rich and stealing from the poor. Wake the hell up!!

Excuse me, morons? Do you have any idea what it’s like to manage a classroom? How much time after work is spent grading papers, prepping the next day’s lesson, making calls to parents. WI teachers are showing their students not to be docile cattle when someone takes their rights away. And speaking about personal attacks, maybe you should read your posts a little closer. And by the way, I’m proud to sign this post with my real name. Come out of hiding behind a nickname next time.

Really Moonview? How stupid are you?!!! Wisconsin is not broke. Stop believing lies and spreading hate. If the unions are taken down it’s just a matter of time before YOUR corporate slave masters lower YOUR pay and benefits. I will never understand why teabaggers like yourself defend the right of the predatory rich to prey on us!

What’s it like to exist with two digit IQ ?
We understand that the state is financially fucked because of what Gov.Walker has done. He and his Republican criminal organization should not only be recalled, they should be procecuted. I see that you are also a racist… kind of goes with your lack of intellect. Unions are the only reason corporations haven’t taken over years ago. They are also the only reason anyone has decent wages, safe working conditions, retirement plans and healthcare. But you go ahead and vote GOP dipshit, and if they win again, which they won’t, you can wonder why you’re working for $4.00 per hour if you have a job at all.

While these GOP-baggers want the Dems to return to the Capitol to “talk”, they have abjectly and repeatedly REJECTED negotiations on collective bargaining, saying ther is NO ROOM for negotiation.
This led one of the Dems to question why they should return to “talk”, when there is nothing to “talk” about ?
And since the GOP-baggers will not compromise or negotiate, they need to be ejected .. ..
