Tea Party Audience Proudly Cheers The Downgrade Of America’s Credit Rating
As the Tea Party express rolled into Fond du Lac, Wisconsin to support six Republican candidates in Tuesday’s recall election, the main speaker of the evening, Florida talk show host Andrea Shea King, was determined to pin the blame for the credit rating downgrade on Democrats.
But after she told the audience that commentators were describing the downgrade of US debt to AA+ from AAA as the “tea party downgrade,” the audience cheered proudly that their right wing faction in Congress had caused it.
Here is the transcript.
SHEA KING: This week—I wrote it down—they are blaming the credit downgrade on the tea party movement.
CROWD: Yeah! [Cheers, clapping]
SHEA KING: They are calling it “the tea party downgrade.” They are objectivizing [sic] us.
After all the denial from Republicans that they weren’t to blame, and that the downgrade was the fault of Democrats, it would seem that the constituents of the Tea Party disagree. They are ecstatic and proud that the Tea Party shot the hostage and damaged the full faith and credit of the United States. It proves without a shadow of a doubt, that Republicans are out to slit America’s throat. And just to make it crystal clear that tea partiers are pleased about this, here is the video of the event.

The Teaparty is not a grassroots group it was started and 95% funded by Rupurt Murdoch (someone who only became a citizen so he could own a media outlet and who lives in the UK) and the Koch Brothers. This is a matter of public record. Many people believe that S&P downgraded the US because there were not enough cuts because Fox put this on the running banner for the whole day. That is almost a quote from the banner. It also said that we would have to have ???(don’t remeber how many ) trillion in cuts over the next 2 years to regain it. These are both blatent lies put out to bias the public. I had just watch the clip and read the real report when I saw the banners. Faux news should be taken off the air for their lies. it is just a shame that people are taken in by Rupert Murdoch and the Koch Brothers as they laugh thier way to the bank.

Just FYI, to all the Reps and TB’s (I just realized that TeaBaggers have the same initials as Tuberculosis!) Over the past 30 years the Republicans have been in power for 20 of them, while the Democrats have only been in power for 10. Out of those 10 years, 8 were Clinton’s and he left us with a surplus… the other 2 have been Obama who is trying to pay off the debt that GW ran up and walked away from… so please explain to me how the Republican ideals ‘work’ again…?

It’s quite clear that the people in Congress who affiliate with the Tea Party label know about as much as the people who voted them in. This is serious stuff people. They just don’t get that. And them cheering that the credit rating of the US was downgraded? Sounds a little unpatriotic and un-American to me.

What a load of crap. What…they don’t have video to prove this? So, they make up a “transcript”. S&P states they downgraded the credit rating because there weren’t significant cuts, exactly what the Tea Party called for and what the dumbocraps were against. Explain that. The last two sentences reveal the bias of the author.

That wasn’t a “transcript”, it was hyperlink code, the link was broken apparently. And that’s not exactly what S&P said, but maybe all you could comprehend. And as far as “dumbocraps”, everyone knows that Republicans are the least educated and most ignorant of the 2 parties. Go do some research on your own and you’ll find the truth. Why does the TEA Party insist that S&P dropped the rating because everyone else wouldn’t do what they wanted? This is by definition insanity. Here is a quote from the second page of the report (http://t.co/0wClcZG)
“More broadly, the downgrade reflects our view that the effectiveness, stability, and predictability of American policy making and political institutions have weakened at a time of ongoing fiscal and economic challenges to a degree more than we envisioned when we assigned a negative outlook to the rating on April 18, 2011.”
The idea that everyone had to listen to the TEA Party and there would be no compromise is what led to the downgrade. The head of sovereign ratings at S&P reiterated this today in interviews. I think it’s a fairly simple concept. Why don’t you get it TEA Party?

Dude- you really need to get your facts straight. The “dumbocraps” as you lovingly call them, were more than willing to accept cuts and in fact DID. What you’re conveniently leaving out is that the S&P clearly stated it was ALSO because of Republican refusal to raise taxes and the political gridlock the idiots caused because they are too ignorant and stupid to compromise.
I’ve also noticed that you Tea Partiers always seem to give a pass to Reagan and worse Bush Jr. along with their cronies in Congress who racked up most of the debt in the first place. Our debt has skyrocketed because you idiots elected Bush TWICE. There is ZERO question that the biggest reason America is in debt because of Republican ideology and inept governance while they were in power. The downgrade to America’s credit was caused by them as well. Do us all a favor and pull your head out. These people don’t give a flying crap for your ideology.
