“Josh Brolin, playing George W. Bush look-a-like and D-student governor of Texas.” That has to be the worst phrase in American history.
Rick Perry is now officially a Republican candidate to destroy an already destroyed country. Apparently doing God’s work, Governor Perry kicked off his presidential campaign with a video that shows–hold your breath–President Obama is responsible for the S&P’s downgrade of the U.S. credit rating.

The video sticks to traditional Republican themes: Obama is a big, old, evil, socialist, spending machine and is killing our children’s future by not doing enough to export create jobs. Perry, of course, is a big, fat hypocrite. Despite vigorously pandering to Teabaggers by loudly demonizing President Obama’s stimulus money, Perry gladly used it to balance his state’s budget. Back in 2009, when the nation was eating their junk mortgages for sustenance, Perry was a vocal critic of Congress’s recovery package, even advocating that Texas reject the money because “we can take care of ourselves.” Months later, Perry was miraculously able to balance the state’s budget with the aid of billions in federal stimulus dollars. He really must have prayed extra hard because Perry, once again, took advantage of federal funding to issue $2 billion in bonds for highway improvements in Texas. Nonetheless, the state faces a $27 billion budget deficit.

Farmboy, married his high school girlfriend, “hard work and dedication” (I’m fairly certain he hasn’t worked a day In his life). It’s all been heard before and/or empty statements; but they sound nice and ‘American’.
I’m afraid America will be too stupid to see through this guy.
Texas Gov. Rick Perry is being lauded as a job creator in the midst of recession. But as Paul Krugman pointed out this week, those jobs were a result of population growth, not Perry’s anti-government economic philosophy. The same governor who told Glenn Beck that the government doesn’t create jobs was in charge while 47% of all government jobs were added in his state. And the bulk of these jobs were in public education and healthcare – two sectors that will be forced to lay off tens of thousands due to Perry’s draconian budget.
Very well put Bill…the country is slowly spiraling downhill and the tea party should take full blame for what happened with our s&p rating..the republican party and the last president with the cowboy hat on put this country in turmoil!…Perry is a clone candidate..just came across this quote…’Everyone knows A society that gets rid of all its troublemakers goes downhill.’ Robert A. what do these wingnuts think we Americans have amnesia? The economy was wrecked long before obama took office, Perry Bachmann and Romney, You all havent a prayer of winning in ’12

You know, it’s just hard to keep up with Perry’s inciteful and profound insight into our current historical situation — I mean, profound relative to his being a solid C student (only 9 D’s) at Texas A&M in “animal science.” And inciteful is not a misspelling.
First he wants the ability to secede from the union, then Ben Bernanke’s acts are “treasonous” and now Obama’s destroyed the economy.
