Extreme Right Winger Suggests Using Illegal And Violent Means To Bring Down President Obama
Paranoia is one thing. Being paranoid and violent, however, is another thing entirely. Meet William Gheen. He’s the President and Spokesman of Americans for Legal Immigration PAC, a right wing anti-immigration group, and he has a message to share with America. He believes that President Obama is a dictator, and that he is using undocumented immigrants to wage a war on “white America.”
Gheen had previously accused the President of treason once before and demanded that Republicans impeach him. But now he has a new idea to defeat President Obama. He suggests using “extra-political activities” that are “illegal and violent” to bring down President Obama, reports Right Wing Watch.
“We’re no longer referring to him as President Barack Obama, our national organization has made the decision and made the announcement we now refer to him as Dictator Barack Obama. That’s what he is. And basically at this point, if you’re looking for a peaceful, political recourse there really isn’t one that we can think of, and I’m really not sure what to tell people out there than I guess they need to make decisions soon to just accept whatever comes next or some type of extra-political activities that I can’t really talk about because they’re all illegal and violent.”
Two questions come to mind after reading this statement by Mr. Gheen. First, will any Republican politicians or conservative media members condemn this? And second, will the Secret Service investigate this guy as a threat to the Commander in Chief? It would be really sad if Republicans were to stay quiet about these words. Their silence would certainly speak volumes about how far they’d like to go to remove President Obama from the White House. Any Republicans care to speak up?

4:36 am
It’s time to require any and all Right wingers to prove their political assertions. He asserts that Obama is a dictator, but he can point to not a single dictatorial pronouncement. So, the man is a liar.
1:50 am
What I find funny about people like this fat sack of shit, is that he’ll do the suggesting, but he won’t get his hands dirty directly. He’s in the same category as John Bolton if you ask me,except he doesn’t have that wild ass tache
9:35 pm
First, I am neither Democrat nor Republican so I have no sides to take. I am a Ron Paul supporter, because I feel he is the only candidate in the field that does exhibit common sense and abides by the Constitution.
Second, it was by violence that this nation attempted to secure independence from the crown. But so long as arrows are flying toward Republicans, what about Madame Representative Maxine Waters saying, The Tea Party can go straight to hell!” and not one Democrat said anything. Nor did they speak out when the Vice President and others called the Tea Party Movement “terrorists” and claimed they are attempting to “bring down the government.” Neither of which is true, but where was the outrage from fellow Democrats?
Finally I will address why I do feel that it is to save the Republic and not destroy it, that so many Americans who represent all political parties and ideologies are coming together under the banner of the Tea Party Patriots.
Because we are sick and tired of the popular two parties always promising less spending and taxes and reduced government, and then spending more and growing government and then blaming others for the “necessity” of doing so. And if you did a little research you will find that it is unlawful to do so.
And as far as the Secret Service or FBI (the CIA by law is not supposed to be operational or have any jurisdiction within the US) not arresting Mr. Gheen, I am sure they are assessing what type of threat he poses and have plans to deal with it.
All that really matters now is that I have witnessed the changes in this once great nation over the past 50 years, and it hurts to see it happen. I do not blame the government or even the representatives elected. I take responsibility for the ballots I cast and have to live with the consequences for their term limit. And it is why that I support and urge every patriotic American to read the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, and the Articles of Confederation. I am sure that once you understand that “We the People” were endowed by our “Creator” with inalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, you will also be angered by the usurpation of those rights by the very people we elected and trusted to protect us and them.
Common sense dictates that ONLY Ron Paul will restore the republic to its original state of sovereignty, which was enjoyed by the many States and the free individual residing in them.
6:34 pm
Well now, I have read the Articles of Confederation, which were superseded by the Constitution because they didn’t work very well. I have also read the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution. Perhaps you didn’t notice that the Constitution doesn’t end at “We the People”. The Constitution was written and adopted “in order to form a more perfect union”. We are in this together and claiming that there is no reason for us to organize (the Government — at least what it is supposed to do) help one another in need is sociopathic.
8:31 am
Last I heard, telling someone to go to hell, as mean as it is, is not an actionable threat!
6:20 pm
The Republican Party has always been blessed with Wingnuts. Now those Wingnuts have changed the party from the Party of No to the Party of Hate. Let’s hope there are consequences for inciting violence against ANY of our elected officials. These people are sick and the violence at our abortion clinics proves that when words like this are ignored, it does not take long for some crazed person to take an equally crazed action!
1:03 pm
Why isn’t he in jail for threatening our President???
8:47 am
I hate organizations with deceptive names.
12:57 pm
Orwellian names
1:26 pm
Americans for legal immigration is a deceptive name? What exactly are you smoking? You want deceptive names? Affordable health care act, American jobs act. are a couple that pop right up.
This Gheen guy, One “nobody loser” says some stupid crap and the lefties are all up in arms. When lefty congress people, union bosses, and the vice president say stupid crap, you all stay home on your mom’s couch. What a joke.
8:17 am
Gheen and his ghouls have been advocating a violent overthrow of the government for years. He used to post on Hispanic Business and couldn’t understand why his racist oral diareah wasn’t welcomed there. If you don’t agree with this lunatic he says you are a traitor to the country and should be executed. Oh but they are “for the rule of law” especially when it comes to the undocumented. He is a moron and it amazes me that any news source can even remotely take this idiot seriously.
He should be arrested for making threats against the president, he is after all “for the rule of law”
1:53 pm
Read the Declaration of Independence!!! There should have been mass civil disobedience & impeachment when Bush began his police state, tearing down the constitution campaign, but unfortunately at that time people didn’t realize how far into tyranny we had actually slipped. As Obama ramps up the Bush era TREASON against the U.S. Constitution & the American public, our FedGov is dragging us even deeper into the type of abusive over bearing government our Founders warned us of so many years ago. The FedGov has VERY specific functions & by stepping outside those functions, they have rendered themselves despotic. People need to wake up & recognize that Obama is the President, so therefore he takes most of the wrap. It has little to nothing to do with his race. But it’s the entire establishment who’s out of control. It needs to be stood against & stopped, before the American public is forced into taking action to preserve our constitution & our Republic! We are given the legal right to abolish an out of control &/or unconstitutional FedGov. You can argue that these puppets in office are dually elected all you want, but we are given establishment puppets, not real statesmen & told to vote on one. Our children don’t deserve to live under dictators & rulers, because we were to stupid or lazy to realize that our representatives were destroying the constitution that was put in place to protect their liberties. Either stand united against out of control government today or we’ll be dying for our liberties tomorrow.
5:35 am
Since illegals are here illegally it is legal for Gheen to make illegal threats since he is legal. Hypocrite.
7:27 pm
so based on this idea of “legal law” I can shoot your pet because its not of “legal standing” in the United States. Your pet is only considered an accessory so me causing harm to him has no problem right?? If your going to try and depict the law you kinda have to have brain cells. The Laws of the United States protects people as a whole so shooting an illegal for no reason is still murder and/or assault, you still go to jail.
1:24 am
The last time I checked, threatening the life of the President was a crime. Period. Why, then, is this terrorist not in jail?
2:12 pm
I agree with you. … And why aren’t Republicans speaking out against this behaviour? They accused anyone who criticised then President Bush of treason. … Don’t the same standards apply today?
9:37 pm
Only a few weeks ago, I changed my affiliation from republican (more than 30 years) to Democrat. Not because I love the democrats (I don’t), but because, seeing both parties as destructive, parasitical evils on our country, the balance of which one of the lesser of the two evils finally slid from the republicans to the democrats. Having said that, I am still a conservative on a number of issues, and am speaking out now that I am outraged that I had to leave my party because it got nuttier and nuttier over the years. True, I changed and grew, but it seems that the GOP also changed, but regressively, I’m sorry to say. I’m not the only member of the republican party to be sick of its war on women, immigrants, homosexuals, anyone not white, and anyone not christian. The party is losing its more rational, critical thinkers and it needs to wake up!
2:09 am
You’re far from the only one. Half of the Americans I used to work with (I’m British myself) have switched to the Democrats because the Republicans have gone to the loony-right extreme (and they’ve pushed the “moderate” position further that way too).
10:09 am
Count me as another former registered Republican who withdrew because there is obviously no room for moderates anymore. Not that I’m going to register as a Democrat because I think much of their behavior in dealing with the Republicans has been on the order of a spineless jellyfish. Just call me an Independent. But when it comes to weighing spinelessness against the outright EVIL being displayed on Republican media … I want to get as far away from the Repubs as I can get.
2:41 pm
Wow This is encouraging to see someone openly admit that the rest of the regressive party has gone over the edge, and its time to leave. I am a Democrat I am not entirely satisfied with the Democrats either. In my state we don’t declare a party affiliation when registering to vote so I could call my self independent. I too am non plussed at how dems are capitulating to some of the more outrageous things the repubs stand for. I consider myself a progressive which at one time was part of the republican party with Teddy Roosevelt…..but the repubs started changing way back when and eventually the progressives became enfranchised with the Dems. I don’t see Obama as being spineless but I can see how people might think so…..his is so professorial and even tempered he never looses his cool and consquently is never taken that seriously….yet he is the smartest person in the room…in any room….and the alternative to voting for him is voting for Looney Tunes…..Thats All Folks….it’ll be all over if they win.
2:12 pm
I see people say this all the time. I’m a Dem, always have been, but there’s a FB page called Republicans for Obama, and honestly, they aren’t that different in philosophy from Dems, in many ways. The nicest thing about them is they can actually speak rationally and intelligently, and aren’t looking for all that nutzoid Draconian stuff and radical evangelical religion that the Republican party has come to signify.
8:46 pm
too funny. he comes out and spews crap that will make him a political martyr. ‘oh- look at me- obama is a dictator – and my people will do whatever it takes to take him down- oh look at me- look at me.’ this ass-clown is looking to get paid for regurgitating conservative rhetoric, either as a ‘public’ speaker, on a ‘news’ site, or hired by a special interest group.
8:24 pm
We are headed towards a war, a giant bloody civil war. The rich are going to use the poor and stupid to gain a complete aristocracy over this country and perhaps over the entire planet. Those with power have been planning for years to create a one world government controlled by the rich and powerful for the rich and powerful.
11:00 pm
Why do you suppose one of the very FIRST things the Republican governors did was to CUT education funds!? Stupid and poor people ALWAYS fall for Republican propaganda and vote AGAINST themselves and their families! Their primary intention is to breed MORE of these gullibles because the minority wealthy REAL Republicans don’t have ENOUGH voters to ever get elected WITHOUT that type!
7:50 pm
Remember, these are the kinds of people who believe a billionaire investor is a socialist. They are very much like Vizzini. They keep saying these words. I don’t think they mean what they think they mean.
7:11 am
The Koch brothers arrived extremely early, if not founded (that part I don’t know), in formation of this party, the Tea Party. They are hugely wealthy and own large corporations mostly in the fuel recovery industries. There is a David Koch Room in Lincoln Center in NYC, which is philanthropy many are grateful for, but could also work as a very well placed ad.
The agenda of these brothers is to make a smooth way for their businesses to make the maximum profit. Is the Tea Party the place to go for voters who want an alternate to the Republican and Democratic parties? It it a party for the people, a party of individualists who want to get away from big government? There’s big government, which we can elect and petition, which doesn’t always do what we want. There’s big business, which has its own funding and is beholden to no one, not even the people who may help them get the environmental laws slashed to uselessness.
The Koch brothers industries, backers of the Tea Party, needs YOU. To drum up votes and sympathy to get their guys and gals in office, to shape the laws of this land into the perfect climate for their own businesses, period.
They say that as far as business goes, we vote with our shopping dollar. Look up the Koch brothers–’Koch Industries’ and see if you think they’ll be listening to us. Even without your party winning, the effects of their support for you puts pressure now on our president and congress to lower our country’s standards for air quality and safety and protection from chronic illness for all.
If the Tar Sands XL project is approved, which will mean that capital will be invested to build pipelines that cut through and down the US all the way from the Tar Sands extraction fields in middle Canada to Mexico where the very dirty version of oil it carries is to be processed.
All oil needs some form of processing after it comes out of the ground. Some more than others. The Tar Sands oil is not a grade of oil that can be made into gasoline for operating cars. Its composition is full of toxins and it burns dirtier than the kind of oil that we get from wells in the ground. Whoever burns it will be raising the level of smog in their area, subject to the prevailing winds as smog is, and, overall add to the dirtiness of the atmosphere that we all breathe from. It is also more expensive than well oil, per gallon, to extract.

7:09 pm
Well… ANOTHER moron volunteering to be “VISITED” by the secret service… BEND OVER douchebag… we need to make sure you’re not CONCEALING anything! Other than what LITTLE brain matter you have! This SCUM needs to be made an EXAMPLE of! But they probably won’t DO it… they’ll just tell anyone that ASKS something like “It’s not the SCREWBALLS that are VOCAL you need to worry about!” I thing Mr. Gheen needs to be sent to PRISON… with a LARGE black (Or maybe LATINO) cellmate!
9:40 pm
Oh, how nice, rape jokes. Aren’t you just a precious little cupcake?
2:10 am
Dude, not funny.
6:26 pm
carma, carma,carma
1:20 am
Um, it’s Karma.
10:01 am
Thanks for the laugh, Michael. I needed that ! This country is going down in a big way. Mask up for the big cloud of dust. Timber !!!!
10:03 am
Perhaps David freeman may have been trying to get ready to say that his Karma ran over his dogma, but then got stuck typing the word “carma”
5:33 pm
And the evidence that Obama is a dictator would be…? Oh, yeah. Forgot. Who needs evidence? Say it enough times on the telly, and it must be true. ;-)
8:20 pm
For those who believe no evidence is necessary
10:05 am
Seig heil, Hitler?
5:28 pm
Obviously, these morons dont know what a dictator IS or what power a dictator can wield. Obama is too weak to be seriously thought of as a dictator! Stupidity, thy name is “right wing”!
11:15 am
Glad you pointed that out to the ‘genius’. But,’Obama (is) too weak”…? Or, simply just doesn’t have the mentality , nor espouse the warped ‘philosophy’ of a dictator? (I know you don’t actually even put him in that vain, but…) For those of us that have become so jaded over ‘politics’, Obama–in a nut-shell–is something we have nothing to compare him to. Not in my life-time, anywat. Because he’s continuously improvising on an issue-to-issue basis, and can’t really get any momentum with his original INTENDED agenda (developing new technology , and restructuring and ‘prepping’ the land for its implementation, THEN passing the baton to the next President…) We’ll NEVER get a true measure of what he envisioned. Thanks Republicans of the 111th and 112th Congresses. As a Lib, I was originally peeved that he didn’t take full advantage of having both the House and Senate. Anyone with an once of foresight should have known this was going to be the case once he actually took office. And even though I know Obama was anticipating his presidency to be mired with Congressional hold up, I don’t think even he expected it to be this sever. As far as compromising too much, I believe history will prove the President was way ahead of all of us by NOT taking FULL advantage of having both the House and Senate…THE FIRST TIME (fingers crossed!) I’m not articulate, nor politically savvy enough to explain why I feel this way. All I know is that I wouldn’t want to play chess or poker with Obama.
11:22 am
Sorry for the typos and poor syntax:
Obama–in a nut-shell–is something we have nothing to compare him to. Not in my life-time, anywat. = “Obama (in a nut shell) is something I’ve yet to see in my life-time.”
5:11 pm
All that it takes for evil to prevail is for decent people to remain silent. As long as leaders and the media fail to call hatred out, they are given it legs to walk and infect others.
10:47 pm
This is sound philosophy ~ I have to *steal* it!! (TY!!)
5:09 pm
Well Marko, The GOP should condemn his statement to show that they do not support violent tactics. I guess there is the rub.. they probably do support these kinds of tactics
4:56 pm
Why should the Republicans have to say anything? This guy does not represent the GOP. The entire party should not have to apologize for every crackpot conservative.
5:13 pm
I completely agree–however I do feel there should be a spokesman condemning these activities and yeah, he definitely needs to be investigated by the secret service
5:44 pm
to prove their sanity I guess. but then in this political climate, a republican proved sane wont make it through the next election without loosing the nomination of his party. it doesn’t really matter anyway, cause its not going to happen; the republicans aren’t going to slap this guy down as It might piss off the tea party jihad and its sainted generals Limbaugh and Beck.
7:14 pm
Marko, the only problem with your apologetic post is that your side (as it seems you must be a Republican) constantly shrilly screams for every Muslim in the world to speak against whatever a few of their extremists say or do.
Some old-school Wahhabi illiterate in a small Afghan village carries out a stupid custom of his sect, our own semi-literate extremists want every Muslim in, say, Chicago to apologize for him and condemn his actions.
Yes, I DO want to hear some Republicans out there speak up and finally say “enough is enough” and tell idiots like this guy to STFU!
8:41 am
My side?!
My god, what is with people assuming I’m Republican. It is not about sides. I don’t like the GOP and I don’t like the Dems. My comment applies to both the GOP, the Dems, or any organization (just replace the GOP with ‘insert name here’). People need to start assigning blame where it is due.
I’m sorry if you thought the tone of my post was apologetic, because it was not, just pure rage…
2:14 am
Because this is, sadly, the political world we live in: If someone on the same side of the political spectrum says/does something stupid, your “side” is supposed to condemn it.
Secondly, it would not be the slightest bit difficult to draw a straight line between the kind of talk espoused by Republican representatives and Fox “News” (“2nd Amendment remedies”, “don’t retreat, reload”, every paranoid conspiracy Beck came out with) and this guy going just a microstep further than that.
12:39 pm
Marko, This guy represents them because he claims to be one of them. By not going on the record to distance themselves from his very violent and hate-filled threats, they condone it. That is an understood form of communication. Remaining silent = condoning.
6:16 pm
That is a valid point.
4:37 pm
When and where did Mr. Gheen say these things? Because of the photo used, I searched CNN’s site but could not find it there. A little in the way of a citation or link might lend this story more credibility.
11:18 pm
Here is a link to a recording of the radio interview, as taken from the a show hosted by conservative Janet Mefferd: http://www.rightwingwatch.org/content/gheen-violence-may-be-needed-stop-obamas-war-white-america
Here is Gheen explaining himself (if you can believe anything he says at this point – or anything on FOX for that matter) which, at the very least, lends credibility to the assertion that he said it in the first place: http://www.alan.com/2011/08/24/william-gheen-explains-his-comment-on-violent-illegal-activities/
12:51 am
As the article clearly states, this information was reported by Right Wing Watch. Two seconds in a search engine turned up the original article here: http://www.rightwingwatch.org/content/gheen-violence-may-be-needed-stop-obamas-war-white-america

i can only pray that some men in black suits…sun glasses…with ear pieces and a whole lot of code names that protect our POTUS pay this whack job a visit….send him to one of those terrorist prisons and throw away the key!
10:05 am
Ya ! And send the Clinton’s with them !
4:33 pm
Sedition is the stirring up of rebellion against the government in power. A seditionist is one who engages in or promotes the interests of sedition.
4:30 pm
“Any Republicans care to speak up?’
**crickets**
Quelle suprise!
4:16 pm
If this were the Bush White House dealing with a threat, this guy would be thrown in jail indefinitely, which I wish would happen to this moron.
