The AFA Calls for the Hitlerization, err… the Criminalization of Homosexuality

Did spokesman of the American Family Association, Bryan Fischer, just finish reading Mein Kampf? In another conservative moment of the week (surprise, surprise), Fischer called on the American public to support the criminalization of homosexuality. He hopes to make all homosexual activity a felony in the United States, like it was until the mid to late 20th century. Just as Hitler branded homosexuality a societal disease, the American Family Association advocates for states’ rights to ban (and punish) homosexual activity.

Via The Advocate:

Bryan Fischer, spokesman for the American Family Association, took to his radio show Monday to call on the fifty United States to reinstate laws making homosexuality a criminal offense.

The last remaining sodomy laws (on the books of 14 states) were overturned in 2003 with the Supreme Court’s ruling on Lawrence v. Texas. At the time the AFA publicly condemned the decision, saying the ruling was tantamount to “tyranny.”

AFA’s biblical backbone is the catalyst for its “free-speech” discrimination. To promote the criminalization of any group of people is a hate crime veiled behind bible-study morality. What does Fischer expect; that homosexuals, including bisexuals, lesbians, gays, transgenders, bicurious, and questioning individuals, wear huge Pink Triangles in public so that the authorities can pinpoint “sexual” criminals? Well, I’ve got some bad news for you, Fischer, there would be so many pink triangles around that you’d forget what a straight line looks like.

“Homosexual acts used to be illegal and there’s no reason it can’t be again.”

Uhhhh, what about the Supreme Court and the Establishment Clause, Bryan?

Oh, that’s right, Fischer’s a religious conservative, which means he’s empowered to ignore reality if it doesn’t match his beliefs.

If I needed guidance and I were trapped in a room with Bryan Fischer and a bag filled with hammers, I’d be asking the bag of hammers for advice.
