Mitt Romney Strikes Out On The Facts

Mitt Romney and Rick Perry

Reagan Library, check. Brian Williams, check. TV cameras, check. Mitt Romney….. wait….. which one?

It seems that Rick Perry has stollen the thunder from dear ole Mitt. Even though he is a complete clone of George W. Bush, there is no doubt that Rick Perry came prepared for the Republican debate hosted by NBC News and Politico. Since Perry is now declared the major conservative and Jon Huntsman has the moderate crown on, Mitt Romney doesn’t know what to do. During the debate he tried to hold the Tea Party banner while still carrying the moderate torch. It didn’t work out so well. The main focus of the debate was on jobs. And rightfully so. Since Mitt Romney was a governor and in the private sector he should be an expert right?? ….. Nope! Mitt Romney seems to have lost his “fact” book (even Republicans even have one). During the debate on Wednesday night, Romney declared that he had “created more jobs in Massachusetts than the President has in the entire country.” Oh good. So that means Governor Romney created millions of jobs, right? Well…. it wasn’t 20 minutes later when Mitt said he created “thousands” of jobs. Uh oh. How could he have created more jobs that President Obama when the President has created “millions” and Mitt only created “thousands”? Strike number one!

Romney then continued to falsely say that the President hasn’t invested in our own energy here in America by stating, “We
are an energy-rich nation and we’re living like an energy-poor nation” . Hmmm. Well, it just so happens that President Obama has approved of the first nuclear plant in 30 years while the Recovery Act invested in clean energy technologies that would get us off oil. Strike two, Mitt!

The fact that Mitt Romney doesn’t have a clue about the facts is really saddening. But not surprising. Recently his campaign sent out a graph showing the jobs losses/gains in recent years. Low and behold, Mitt’s graph said that President Obama was the President during 2007. Sorry Mitt, I know that Republicans hate to admit it, but a Republican was in the White House in 2007 when the economy started to sink. Not only did Mitt lose his front-runner status to Perry tonight, but he also confirmed that he hasn’t a clue who he is or what he stands for.  Oh wait. Did I mention that Massachusetts ranked 47 in job creation when Mitt Romney was governor? Strike three, dude. You’re out!
