US Rep. Joe Walsh (R-Ill.) was ordered by a Chicago judge to prove he doesn’t owe more than $100,000 in back child support.

The Tea Party spokesman and alleged fiscal conservative’s ex-wife, Laura Walsh sued the Congressman once she heard that he had loaned his own campaign $35,000, despite claiming that he was too broke to pay child support.

Much to the dismay of Cook County Circuit Judge Raul Vega, Walsh didn’t show up for court during Wednesday’s hearing.

In court, Walsh’s attorney, Janet Boyle, asked Vega “for what purpose” he wanted the congressman in court.

Vega gave her a puzzled look — to which Boyle responded: “Mr. Walsh is a U.S. congressman.”

“Well, he’s no different than anyone else,” the judge replied.

Walsh has been ordered to appear at the next hearing.

If the Congressman is not able to prove that he does not owe the back child support, he will be held in contempt.

  • And this guy still has the nerve to run for reelection to Congress. This is indeed a wonderful country and people deserve second chances, if the admit they are wrong and make an attempt to correct their errors. Not this joker!!!

  • Deadbeat loser….in a fucked up country with fucked up priorities….God help what used to be a proud United States of America…

This is what their version of freedom is all about. Thats why they are so enamored of the fifties. Men went to work, women stayed home. When the old man found a new girlfriend, he moved out on the wife and kids and started a new family. His cost nothing. Hers and the children were poverty. Also there was no welfare back then.

As Rush Limbaugh once said on national tv, “If a woman gets pregnant, and she isn’t married to the guy, the guy owes her nothing. NOTHING. He had no contract with her and has no obligation.”

  • More evidence of the conservatives’ “Christian family values.” “Pro-life” up until children are born, then the heck with them.

  • The Platzner Post

In a word, US Rep. Joe Walsh (R-Ill.) is a Schmuck!!!
