A few days ago, Rand Paul did an interview in which he suggested that the Koch Brothers be sent to jail. After railing against environmentalists for trying to stop unregulated fracking, which is poisoning the nation’s water supply, Paul pivoted and stated that polluters who dump benzene, a carcinogenic chemical, into streams, should “go to jail.”
PAUL: “I don’t want to pollute the water. I don’t want to pollute streams. If you dump benzene in the stream, I want you to go to jail.”

This statement should particularly alarm the Koch brothers, whose company, Koch Industries, regularly dumps benzene, a known cause of leukemia, into streams. In fact, Koch Industries illegally dumped “at least 91 metric tons of uncontrolled benzene in its liquid waste streams” during a period in 1995 at its Corpus Christi refinery. So David and Charles Koch should probably visit their tailor to get fitted for orange jumpsuits.

WoW, for a split second I thought an utter MIRACLE just transpired when Rand said he wished for benzene dumpers to go to be locked up—in, seemingly, a moment of “clarity” for a conservative! But naturally, ALAS, my hopes were immediately dashed when, in virtually the same damn breath, he proceeds to completely contradict himself. Really?? WTF.
Please do not make the mistake of believing that if Rand Raul were elected, the Koch brothers would be jailed, or indicted, or charged, or even just talked nasty about – after he were to be elected, it’s business as usual; rape the economy and environment, if you don’t vote to do so, you won’t get your bribe money – oh, sorry, that’s “corporate people exercising their right to influence policy” funds…
Only his weird cross-pollination of the outlier wack-jobs from both sides makes it any different. I wonder if he isn’t actually the “Paul” the movie was made about.

OTOH, on this particular subject, I DO agree – the Kochs should go to jail for their environmental actions. And pay some large settlement money directly to the victims (NOT the lawyers…)
yes, we would all love to see the Koch’s go not just to prison, but to the gallows (and i am not even a death penalty advocate). but you know that they have given just as much money to the dems as to their appendages, a/k/a the GOTP. that is why you don’t hear the word “Koch” coming out of the mouths of too many dems. it would be my first talking point if i was the head of the DNC. we need to hold the dems accountable to making this an issue. nothing will ever be done about them since our entire process now is only about the almighty dollar.
The Koch’s funded and sponsored the Tea Party..they should be drawn and quartered on tht alone. They have purchased and put in place all these tea bag governors that are following the Koch’s agenda or protecting the top 2%.. get rid of edcation, closed EPA, shutdown FAA, get rid of IRA… give them free hand to destroy us further.. They should go live in Germany where their grandfather learned first hand from Stalin how to destroy a government….
The Koch Brothers are selfish spoiled men who were born rich. They don’t believe that they should have to follow any environmental laws and they support the Tea Party!@ They believe they are above the law and should be put away. Guantanamo would be perfect.
