Rick Santorum Endorses Republican Plan To Rig Presidential Election In Pennsylvania

Republicans are stepping up their efforts to rig elections in their favor. Pennsylvania Republican Governor Tom Corbett and the Pennsylvania GOP have devised a plan that would award most of the state’s electoral votes to the Republican Presidential candidate even if Democrats get the most votes. And Rick Santorum supports it.

“Certainly from the standpoint of a Republican, it’s a winner,” Santorum said. “Republicans will come out ahead in Pennsylvania in every election. The way Democrats win, they have two big cities with huge concentrations of voters — and then overwhelm the rest of the state.”

“All of a sudden, a Republican can win — and would probably routinely win — all but three or four congressional districts in Pennsylvania,” he said. “It would turn it from a state Democrats rely on, as part of the base, to a state that they’re gonna lose under almost any scenario.”

What this all comes down to is that Republicans have stepped up their plan to rig the 2012 Election and future elections in their favor. The reason why Democrats win Pennsylvania most of the time is because more people vote Democratic. This scheme proposed by Republicans is a way to give their voters in the state more power over Democrats. As the system currently stands, all votes are equal and at the end of Election night, Democrats receive the most votes and thus win all of Pennsylvania’s 20 electoral votes. If Republicans have their way, President Obama may only win 8 of the 20, even if he wins the overall popular vote in the state.

Republicans are trying to steal the election. They are undermining the system because they want absolute power. The 2012 Election and every election that follows could very well be a repeat of the 2000 Election if we do nothing to stop this plan from going through. The last thing this country needs is a lack of integrity in our elections. And just remember it’s the Republicans who want to destroy that integrity.

I’ll say it again. Register to vote ABSENTEE. They send you a PAPER ballot than must be counted – and can be recounted if need be. An electronic voting machine, ESPECIALLY a Diebold device, but ANY electronic voting device can be rigged to skew the vote. And it can be done untraceably through hardware OR software. The GOP has already proved many times over they will play dirty at every step, including gerrymandering, voter registration fraud and voting machine manipulation. A VOTE ON A DIEBOLD MACHINE IS A VOTE FOR THE GOP/KOCH BROS ATTEMPTED COUP.

Register to vote – Absentee. Or don’t bother voting at all. I can show you how not voting vs. using a rigged voting machine gives the advantage to not voting. But go absentee, you won’t go back.

They will take power any way they can, because the Democrats do NOTHING to stop it. If you are going to vote, it MUST be one person, one vote, valued at one tic in the tally column. Anything else is simply criminal theft.

We are being raped and pilloried by these greedy assholes. They want war in the streets, and are working every way they can to make it happen. That way they can call out the Army, put the country under martial law and implement the rest of the NWO/Koch/AFP fascist plan to own (steal) everything, destroy the unions and force us to accept $3/hr as a “living” wage.

BTW – “Integrity”? from whom? The GOP? The Dems? THE CORPORATIONS? That is truly hilarious. Integrity in the US is a measure of structural strength in manufacturing, and has no equivalent (or place) in any political process. Use of the word in this context should be considered null and void, like “military intelligence”, “jumbo shrimp” and “honest politician.”

I have always thought that states giving ALL electoral votes to a candidate who won 51% of the vote was stupid. I think electoral votes should be allocated in a % equally that of the popular vote. Or scrap the ridiculous EC altogether and just count popular vote!
This article doesn’t say anything about what the “plan” is, except to imply that it is “bad”, so can’t say much for this article.
