Politics 2012: Who Let the Logic Out?…Zero Taxes

A little Tongue and Cheek

I have been told that as we grow older, we may lose a few of our mental faculties. Regardless of how we work to keep ourselves physically and mentally fit, life changes. Thoughts may slow, the body slows and becomes less flexible and we eat with more attention to healthy diets. The process is one that each and every person, and animal, on Earth will experience. Do you think that process has anything to do with the embedded picture? Look at the image very closely and think about the people in the picture.

I believe that we all understand how mother nature works. What I cannot understand are the mental processes and logic of people who have recently started to rant about ‘no taxes.’ Are these people serious? OK, come on tell me, “Who let the logic out?”

Whatever happened to logic?
Michelle Bachmann’s completely idiotic comment at a GOP debate stands as an electronic monument to …..well idiocy. Since, this idiocy has been widely discussed better to spend time on more salient points.

a.) How do the people in the photograph expect that construction and  maintenance  of the labeled items will happen?

b.) Can anyone help me find any information that the ’crafters’ of the U.S. Constitution  fought to avoid paying taxes for reason other than their wish to rightfully get out from under English colonial rule?

c.) Is it possible that the people pictured above do not understand that our governments need revenue?

d.) How does Michelle Bachmann expect for our president to do the following:

“Well I think we know that just within a day or so the President of the United States will be taking a trip over to India that is expected to cost the taxpayers $200 million a day,” Bachmann said. “He’s taking two thousand people with him. He’ll be renting out over 870 rooms in India. And these are 5-star hotel rooms at the Taj Mahal Palace hotel. This is the kind of over-the-top spending, it’s a very small example, Anderson.”

OOPS

e.) Does Bachmann not realize that ‘no taxes’ would short-change the federal funding for her husbands unlicensed (Pray away the Gay) clinic.

f.) No taxes: No national defense. (Maybe she feels this strategy would garner major campaign contributions from hidden sources abroad.)

I believe it is becoming clearly obvious why Ed Rollins left the Bachmann Campaign. It is also very clear why Bachmann has become a ‘bottom dweller’ among the GOP ’Nine Stooges’ presidential ’wanna bes’.

When I started this piece with the picture above, my intent was humor.

This is not funny!

You know, I seem to have seen a similar picture on the internet, only instead of Tea Party protesters, it was your very own Occupy Wall Street protesters; and instead of taxes, they were protesting capitalism.

So it’s wrong to protest taxes because we used things that require taxes, but it’s okay to protest capitalism even though we use things created by capitalism?

And don’t get me wrong: I’m not against taxes, just raising taxes during an economic recession, and wasting our taxes on crap we don’t need, be it war, bailouts, or entitlements.

We pay less taxes today than any other time in the last 50 years. The obsession of not paying taxes will bring this country to the ground. Some day the rich will be left scratching their heads wishing they had just paid a little more. Those investments in the bank aren’t going to make squat when we force people to live like the poor do in India…..The greed in this country is leaving me speechless.
