After months and months of toying with the hopes and dreams of the Tea Party faithful, Sarah ‘The Alaskan Quitter’ Palin has finally made her decision to not run for President in 2012. Palin made the crushing announcement in a letter published on the ABC website.
Palin’s letter to supporters:
October 5, 2011
Wasilla, Alaska
After much prayer and serious consideration, I have decided that I will not be seeking the 2012 GOP nomination for President of the United States. As always, my family comes first and obviously Todd and I put great consideration into family life before making this decision. When we serve, we devote ourselves to God, family and country. My decision maintains this order.
My decision is based upon a review of what common sense Conservatives and Independents have accomplished, especially over the last year. I believe that at this time I can be more effective in a decisive role to help elect other true public servants to office – from the nation’s governors to Congressional seats and the Presidency. We need to continue to actively and aggressively help those who will stop the “fundamental transformation” of our nation and instead seek the restoration of our greatness, our goodness and our constitutional republic based on the rule of law.
From the bottom of my heart I thank those who have supported me and defended my record throughout the years, and encouraged me to run for President. Know that by working together we can bring this country back – and as I’ve always said, one doesn’t need a title to help do it.
I will continue driving the discussion for freedom and free markets, including in the race for President where our candidates must embrace immediate action toward energy independence through domestic resource developments of conventional energy sources, along with renewables. We must reduce tax burdens and onerous regulations that kill American industry, and our candidates must always push to minimize government to strengthen the economy and allow the private sector to create jobs.
Those will be our priorities so Americans can be confident that a smaller, smarter government that is truly of the people, by the people, and for the people can better serve this most exceptional nation.
In the coming weeks I will help coordinate strategies to assist in replacing the President, re-taking the Senate, and maintaining the House.
Thank you again for all your support. Let’s unite to restore this country!
God bless America.
– Sarah Palin
This really shouldn’t surprise any of us. Sarah Palin has been using the prospect of running for President to gain attention for the last three years now and especially over the last few months. The Tea Party supporters who actually believed in Palin up to this point must feel truly foolish for allowing themselves to be strung along as long as they have. Now we have to wait for her to endorse a candidate who is actually running for President and she will probably drag that out for quite some time as well. Anyone want guess who she will choose?

Bullshit. “something it was never meant to be=socialist”. LOL. Democrat my chapped red ass. No thinking person is buying this lame, thug-plug of a post. Try again. Obvious republican is obvious.
The sad thing is my husband being a life long Dem thought he would bring hope and change. But the only thing he brought was trying to change this country into something it was never meant to be=Socialist. I have worked since I was 14 most of the time working two jobs and I watch people not wanting to even work one and have the government do everything for them. And He did quit! He spent most of the last two years of his senate seat campaigning. Sara Palin stopped being governor because of Iidiots going after Her with ridiculous law suits which were costing the state of Alaska millions. And most of those lawsuits were found to be fruitless. As my husband says now-ABBA! AnyBody But obama! As does most of the Democrats he knows. He said-He didn’t leave the Democratic Party-The party left him.
So tired of how Sarah Palin speaks in generalities about what she finds so awful about our country and government, but never ever gives us succinct, constructive ideas as to how she would “fix” what she finds wrong. And forget that old chestnut of giving more tax breaks to the wealthy and corporations so that they can create jobs. Also, am tired of the way in which she will attack our President, Michelle Obama, and others in junior high-school fashion, but then takes such offense when anyone gives her a dose of her own medicine. Those who follow and cheer-lead her are themselves hateful, homophobic bigots pure and simple. Sarah Palin is as dangerous as any of Hitler’s henchmen ever were.
Sarah Palin can be considered a quitter as she quit her job as governor to run for….nothing. How is it that anyone can get behind this woman is beyond me.
In other words,”Why should I blow the fortune I’ve made from the possibility of running for president by actually running for president?” I mean, that’s crazy.
That statement makes no sense whatsoever. Just sayin.
Above ^ was meant as a reply to “Mary”
And there was much rejoicing in the land.
Why doesn’t anyone call obama a quitter for leaving the senate to run for president? Oh, that’s right, he wasn’t there enough for anyone to know he was a senator! He voted present more times than any other senator. Which means he wasn’t even there!!!!!!!
He didn’t quit, Mensa…he got promoted. That’s what one gets for being smart, determined and willing to take on the indescribable responsibility of cleaning up the 8-year mess that the Bush Adminstration left behind.
When will people and the media realize that Chrisie and Palin were never gunna run, they did nothing but hype them up even more than they should have been. I does not take a rocket scientist to see this. Now can we shut up about them?
