I don’t think it matters that the president is the first African-American; the Republicans would be trying to bring him down no matter what his ethnicity. They’ve lost the power and they’ll twist the story whichever way it works for them.

I find it interesting that she calls the OWM perpetrators Marxists, Socialists and (gasp) even Communists. She obviously doesn’t know her American history.

“To preserve our independence, we must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt. We must make our election between economy and liberty, or profusion and servitude.”

    as well as,

“If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issuance of their currency, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all their property until their children will wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.”

    ~Thomas Jefferson

Where is the actual evidentiary source material for this quotation. It looks downright despicable, but (being NOT a Teabagger) I’d like to have more than hearsay evidence on the Internet before I take it as fact.

The author of the blog actually misrepresented what was actually said…
“I, an American small business owner, part of the class that produces the vast majority of real, wealth producing jobs in this country, hereby resolve that I WILL NOT HIRE A SINGLE PERSON until this war against business and my country is stopped.” (caps mine)

That makes her a traitor, and calling for other businesses to do the same? That is the only thing that she said that even comes close to what the blogs author claims was said…

The author seems to think that, if you oppose anything that Obama, or the democrats do, you are a traitor. Treason is clearly defined in law and in the Constitution. What she defines as treason has nothing to do with actual treason at all, but has everything to do with her own hate.

Why did the author of this article have to go an make this a race issue? “This is yet another admission from the right wing that they are willing to bring the American economy crashing down on us all in the hate inspired effort to bring down the first African-American President.” Brookstone (one woman) was talking about what she feels are socialist extremes going on in our government, and this article’s author ends the story with pretty much ‘Tea Partiers hate black people’. That itself should sicken people. This is just poor journalism.

Lemme get this straight: Obama is trying to bring down our economy as part of an interntaional plot, so the author is suggesting bringing down our economy as a way of foiling this plot?

This is akin to saying, “Everyone is out to kill me so to make sure they fail, I’ll commit suicide.”

Since this has been the tacit policy of the Republican party since Bush left office (trying to bring the economy to a standstill so they can blame it on Obama), it is at least refreshing to see someone publicly admit that this is their plan.

But advocating the destruction of the US so that one’s political party can take control is treasonous. And monstrously stupid.

Umm, Karl, By putting this forth as resolutions, she is proposing it as an agenda to the group Tea Party Nation, of which she is a stated member and activist. The TPN can now either debate it, vote to accept or reject it, or let the comment stand on it’s own and let it be percieved as accepted unless they specificly disavow it. She really seems to be just as ignorant as you are Karl, as to the rules of order. While she did a really sloppy job of writeing up these “resolutions”, it is clear that the last paragraph is part of the statement and meant to apply to the group statement. Kind of like the “Pledges” the republicans so love to sign, rather than upholding their oath of office.

As usual, whoever writes this blog has issues with reading comprehension. She says ‘she’ is not going to hire anyone. Where does she call for any of the crap that is stated in this article? Who is she and who does she represent anyway? Unlike Obama and his mindless minions, people outside of the zombie Demtard party have free will can do whatever they want and don’t follow everything they hear on the radio or TV or from the latest Tea Party group.

Well seems to me that after the debates and this I will join the “mindless” minions and vote for Obama. Oh and I didn’t last time, b ut this time, myself and at least 4 of my friends have had it with the Repubicans and the Teacup Party and will all do what we said we were not and support the President against the oppression of the money class.

Finally a person who is more concerned about the facts then the lies. These kind of people are why I left the democrat party and became a Independent. . For the love of God people read the story and not just the headlines..All of you are nothing more then bumper sticker fact checkers.. Up the voltage at your next appointment with your shrink.

      Ah, yes…

When one can’t back up one’s argument with coherency, one must revert to name-calling.

So typical of the majority of right-wingers.

      Like you.

Odd how easily they take it for granted that the things people like Melissa Brookstone do will be blamed on the president.
The debate last night left no doubt that I’ll vote for President Obama again.

    Can this count as treason?

No, it can’t. But thanks for asking. FYI:

“Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort.”
      — Constitution of the United States of America, Article 3, Section 3, Paragraph 1

Treason and insurgency…they are, after all, declaring their intent to overthrow the duly-elected Government of the United States (treason) by a form of warfare from within (insurgency)

And peaceful protesters (Occupy Wall Street) who are acting within the law, as set down by the Bill of Rights and Constitution of the United States, are being jailed..

Holy crap, these people are INSANE. Jaw-droppingly crazy. Have they not had anybody read and summarize this shit back to them? “Soooo, what you’re saying is that you’d rather screw yourself over, kill any nascent economic recovery and likely put yourself out of business because the President and an overwhelming majority of your fellow citizens think the uber-rich (important note, Tea Partiers: YOU are NOT the uber-rich whose taxes should be increased. Really. Even St Ronnie of The Blessed Raygun agreed.) should pay in their fair share? Oh, and you’re still really offended that the President’s black, aren’t you? That’s the sum total of your manifesto, isn’t it?”

Side note: next time I see an NRA bumper sticker reading “Freedom Isn’t Free”, I’m going to bust out the Sharpie and write next to it “Then Shut The Hell Up And Let Us Reasonably Tax The Millionaires. These Roads Won’t Pay For Themselves!”

We question the breeding and upbringing of traitors like Melissa Brookstone. Wild animals know better than to soil their own homes yet in a willful display of ignorance and selfishness, these so-called “patriots” are proud of the destruction they have done.

Go Pat go! I do hope this story gets out, I mean really gets out so TPN-Master-in-Congress Eric Cantor the GOP Candidates can respond.
