Mitch McConnell’s Office Occupied By Unemployed Protesters (VIDEO)

Since taking control of the House of Representatives in 2010, the Republicans have refused to pass any and all bills that would create jobs and have slashed spending which has resulted in job losses. Republicans in the Senate have also done their utmost to sabotage the economy, blocking every jobs bill Democrats put forward.

Now, some unemployed protesters are taking the OWS movement to the DC office of Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell. Approximately 40 protesters are occupying McConnell’s office until they get a meeting with him. Nearly two months ago, protesters in Wisconsin occupied Paul Ryan’s office and were then locked out.

As the economy worsens, and more and more people become angry at the Republican attempts to kill the economy, these kinds of sit-ins should become larger and more commonplace. This news comes as Senate Republicans prepare to block an infrastructure bill that would create jobs and is paid for by a small tax increase on the top 0.1% of earners.

  • Mitch McConnell is such a bully and so undeserving of the job the people sent him to do! Why are all Tea Party Republicans acting so irresponsibly ….it has nothing to do with our President! They know the people are not going to re-elect them BUT because of their obstructionism most will be billionaires or maybe higher and they won’t need a job ever again! It is time to stop all lobbyist and the filibustering must be banned or limited strictly! We must get back to the business of the people and our country and corporations MUST be forbidden from taking part other than as each individual voting as citizens of this country! ENOUGH!

    • chicfineart; You are so right! Now if all the people who have been suckered into believing the republican rhetoric would only see the light of day, we might have a chance to turn this whole mess around.

  • I live next door to KY, I think they need to get rid of Rand Paul at the same time….not that TN doesn’t have it’s share of complete asshats in office at the moment.
