
On Saturday,16 people, mostly women and children, were killed in Kulbiyow. The attack also injured 19. In Gilib, south of Mogadishu, 28 people were killed.
Since the US expanded its unmanned aerial attacks in Somalia, many civilians have fallen victim.
Washington claims the air strikes target anti-American militants.
Somalia has had no centralized government since 1991 when dictator Mohamed Siad Barre was overtaken by warlords. Somalia is one of several countries generating the highest number of refugees and internally-displaced persons in the world.
Somailia is the sixth country the US has engaged in aerial bombings using drones. The United States has also deployed drones for aerial attacks in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Libya, Iraq, and Yemen.
