Why do the Republicans hate America for being America? During the Republican Debate on Saturday night, Michele Bachmann said that America should be more like China. In order to do this, Bachmann says we should get rid of our social safety net system. This system includes Social Security, food stamps, Medicare, Medicaid, and other anti-poverty programs that help Americans across the country.
Bachmann stated that Lyndon Johnson’s Great Society has “not worked, and it’s put us into the modern welfare state…If you look at China, they don’t have food stamps. They save for their own retirement security, they don’t have AFDC (Aid to Families With Dependent Children), they don’t have the modern welfare state, and China’s growing…and so what I would do is look at the programs that LBJ gave us, with the Great Society, and they’d be gone.”
The real problem with this argument is it fails to recognize the difference between Chinese savings and American savings.
The last time most Americans had savings accounts was in the 1970′s when the interest paid on them met inflation. Since the 1970′s most Americans have counted 401(k) plans, IRAs, Money Market funds, stocks, and real estate investments (including their homes) as savings.
Chinese savings are in Chinese currency which is guaranteed by the government to not be erroded by inflation. How does the government do that? By pegging the currency’s value to external currencies.
So it’s not poverty assistance which has caused a lack of US savings — it’s the GOP policies breaking down the Glass-Stegall act — first to shift money designated for savings to securities, and then to transfer the value of those securities to the traders.
Bachmann wants Americans to work for the same pay as Chinese laborers. It’s all about profit for the megacorps, as always. And like ALL Republican candidates, she is willing to destroy the nation to get what her billionaire friends want – EVERYTHING.
Never forget these sociopaths have violated their oaths of office so many times the term traitor has become meaningless. Just think of it as the Bush house party, with all of his thieving friends, and their thieving friends, coming to your house uninvited, to steal everything you have, and everything you once believed in.
FACT: If we don’t stop them at the ballot box, there WILL be civil war in America. And the thieves will call out the Armed Forces, some of whom will rebel at the idea of killing American citizens who are trying to save their homes and lives. It will be far nastier than anything in Chechen, Bosnia, Africa – there is a LOT of hate bouncing around on both sides, thank you Fox Propaganda Lying News, and it will be expressed.
PLEASE vote these idiots out of power and save the country while there is still time to do it legally and ethically.

So register as a mail-in voter and they have to hand-count, AND have verifiable documentation of the count.
they will not use American soldiers to put down the riots that occur they will use NATO forces because the law prevents American soldiers from attacking our own people.
nato still wont do it, and I dont think UN forces will, thanks to modern tech. it will have to be American forces, and specifically American Forces who buy into the “Just Following Orders” philosophy. the rest are probably going to rebel against orders or remember that they are sworn not to leaders but to the constitution and nation…

Eisenhower used the 101st Airborne to enforce de-segregation in Little Rock AR, so it’s not out of the realm of possibility.
Have you reviewed the Kent State shootings recently? Judging by footage from Berkley, Oakland, Chapel Hill, and Denver, they are perfectly willing to allow armed cops to waive weapons around in tense situations — it’s a very short step from that to an “accident” with one of those guys or some of the Nat Guard troops coming back from Iraq.
