Breaking News: Red Sox Over Yankees, Or, Boston Judge Beats NYC Judge and Favors Occupiers

The city of Boston has always suffered from a bit of an inferiority complex when it comes to New York City. Most of this stems from the “Curse of the Bambino,” Bucky F—ing Dent, Aaron F—ing Boone and the general superiority of the New York Yankees over their beloved Red Sox.

However, on this day, the Beantown folk have bested the Big Apple thanks to the decision of  Suffolk Superior Court Judge Frances McIntyre, denying the city the right to remove occupiers from Dewey Square in a Zuccotti Park fashion. The stay is only temporary, but will be in place until a court hearing on December 1st.

The leaders of Occupy Boston were in fear of getting Bloomberged, and cleverly retained legal representation to request a pre-emptive restraining order which was granted today.

It will be interesting to see if other Occupy movements follow suit and do the same.  If so, Occupy Boston has provided the template.
