At a town hall in Iowa on Friday, Rick Santorum said that Americans should suffer because “suffering isn’t a bad thing.”
Santorum whined that if “you’re lower income, you can qualify for Medicaid, you can qualify for food stamps, you can qualify for housing assistance,” then said “suffering is part of life and it’s not a bad thing, it is an essential thing in life.”
In an economy in which millions of Americans have lost their jobs, fallen into poverty, and are going hungry or losing their homes, Santorum has the audacity to say that suffering is good. Since when is allowing people to suffer a Christian value? Santorum and the GOP simply do not care about Americans. They have no hearts and no souls and have lost the right to call themselves human beings.
Actually it’s an accurate last name. The guy clearly belongs in a sanatorium. You ever see a picture of his family? They look like something out of Children of the Corn or something. I’ve got an idea. How about he loses his law license, and has his home(s) foreclosed on and all his possessions gone. Let’s see if he feels the same way.
What a Dick!
Once again, the technical and legal term is, “depraved indifference.” This is exactly the kind of antisocial, class-hating rhetoric that comes from the tea Party right-wing campaigner’s playbook. Santorum is a sociopath (simple demonstrable fact, listen to his words) and Koch whore (personal opinion, based on the commonality of talking points. Never actually caught him sucking Koch…) Ricky, read your Constitution again, starting with the preamble. Hmm, “We the Wealthy” Nope. “We the 1%” – no, that’s not it either. “We the Corporations-” Yeah, that’s it. Corporations are people. So is Soylent Green…
So you want us to suffer, so you can score points. Your turn to suffer will come. November, 2012. Be there, Ricky. Watch your fascist friends all crash and burn at the polls – oh wait, the voting machines just said you won. And with a full 17% of the vote! And the Supremes backed you up. How nice to own the machines and the courts. (Unless, of course, my other nightmare is true and both sides really ARE just playing charades while deliberately killing the nation…)
I think this election will need to be VERY closely monitored, perhaps even by the U.N. I damn sure do not trust any device to register MY vote. I urge EVERYONE to register for permanent Absentee Ballot status, so you have a paper ballot each time – with a paper trail for recount-ability…
So lets make this a-hole suffer. Make him listen to his own speeches.
Just like he wanted to make the Schiavo family suffer to promote his own political career. Bastard
What a messed up last name you have!
