Rick Santorum Says Americans Should Suffer Because ‘Suffering Isn’t A Bad Thing’

At a town hall in Iowa on Friday, Rick Santorum said that Americans should suffer because “suffering isn’t a bad thing.”

Santorum whined that if “you’re lower income, you can qualify for Medicaid, you can qualify for food stamps, you can qualify for housing assistance,” then said “suffering is part of life and it’s not a bad thing, it is an essential thing in life.”

Here’s the video:

In an economy in which millions of Americans have lost their jobs, fallen into poverty, and are going hungry or losing their homes, Santorum has the audacity to say that suffering is good. Since when is allowing people to suffer a Christian value? Santorum and the GOP simply do not care about Americans. They have no hearts and no souls and have lost the right to call themselves human beings.
