According to a Republican strategist, Republican voters hate President Obama so much, that they would choose killing Obamacare over finding and killing the man who orchestrated the murder of 3,000 Americans on September 11, 2001.
In an article about Newt Gingrich in the National Journal, GOP strategist Rick Wilson claims that he polled a conservative focus group about what they would rather do, kill Obamacare or have killed Osama Bin Laden. According to Wilson, his group would have ignored the number one threat to American safety to dismantle President Obama’s health care law instead.
From the article:
“A candidate “needs to have a warrior ethos to be the GOP nominee. They have to be a fighter, and they have to have some substance,” said Republican media strategist Rick Wilson.
If Democrats suffered through “Bush Derangement Syndrome” during the last decade, Republican primary voters view the current president with near-contempt, thanks to the lousy economy and a liberal governing agenda. Obama’s unpopular health care law is still driving much of that anger. Wilson said he recently conducted a focus group where Republicans were asked whether, if they had a choice, they would rather “kill Obamacare” or have killed Osama bin Laden.
“They would have killed Obamacare and waited for the actuarial tables [to] play out for bin Laden,” Wilson said.”
I have to admit, I’m both shocked and not shocked at all. I know that Republicans are obsessed with killing the Affordable Care Act but I never thought they’d be so obsessed that they would pass on killing Osama Bin Laden if he were still alive. So basically, Republicans are admitting that they hate President Obama more than the terrorists who attack America. Way to go Republicans. You’ve successfully chosen hatred of an American leader over the safety of the American people. How much lower can you possibly sink?

So if killing off Osama bin Laden isn’t important, why did so many Americans have to die in two wars??
Dave is a prime example of why we should never sniff glue:-)
So by choosing the repeal of health care reform instead of killing public enemy #1 (or I suppose he would be #2 in this case with the president taking up their #1 spot), they choose a path that will risk the death of thousands of Americans between possible terror attacks and lack of adequate care. Stay classy, guys.
