Allen West Compares Democrats to Nazis
On Thursday afternoon, Rep. Allen West added to his list of inflammatory comments since he took office in January. Speaking to reporters, West compared the Democratic Party and President Obama to Joseph Goebbels, the Nazi Minister of Propaganda under Adolf Hitler.
“If Joseph Goebbels was around, he’d be very proud of the Democrat Party, because they have an incredible propaganda machine. Let’s be honest, you know, some of the people in the media are complicit with this and enabling them to get that type of message out. But let’s be very honest, you have the president, who has an incredible megaphone and a platform, and he has people all across this country believing that the only people on Capitol Hill are House Republicans. He’s not talking anything about his controlled Senate. So, it’s a great propaganda machine. And I have to give him kudos for being able to leverage that.”

West’s comments have enraged several Democratic politicians such as John Conyers, Steve Israel, and Gene Ackerman, all of whom have demanded that West apologize. The National Jewish Democratic Council has also asked West to apologize for his unacceptable and egregious remarks.
Republicans have been comparing Democrats to Nazis for a long time now. Perhaps the most consistent person to do this is Newt Gingrich, who made such comparisons on the floor of the House while he served there in the 1980s and 1990s. The problem is, Democrats are nothing like Nazis. Nazis are an offshoot of fascism and exhibit right-wing traits such as rampant corporatism, an obsession with Christianity, believe in racial superiority, believe women should stay in the home, suppression of political opponents, voter intimidation and suppression, etc…, not to mention the fact that the Republican propaganda machine that is Fox News is more powerful than anything Democrats have. If the Democrats have such an all-powerful propaganda machine, how come they lost the message war during the 2010 midterm elections?
It seems to me that the Republican propaganda mouth piece controlled the debates over health care by making false claims and spinning the real facts at all costs to suit their own political agenda, which resulted in people like West winning seats in the House. West owes his House seat to right-wing propaganda. Democrats are using facts to control the message, not propaganda. And the fact is, Republicans have not done one thing to help the economy and the jobless.
The Republican controlled House is the most inept in American history and the Senate, while technically in Democratic control is not in any position to pass legislation, since it takes 60 votes to pass anything and since Republicans continually block bills they don’t agree with, which is pretty much all of them. They do this because they want President Obama to fail. That means America must fail too. In 1930s and 1940s Germany, the Nazis destroyed their own country. That’s another trait that Republicans are trying emulate today. West is accusing Democrats of being farther to the right than the Tea Party is, and that’s laughable.

The Nazis……..and I’m talking about the High-ranking party members, NOT the ordinary Germans who got caught up in it…..are actually Leftists. And the author makes an error by saying they were “Obsessed with Christianity“. This is blatantly false. The Nazis were obsessed with the supernatural, astrology and the occult. The Nazis were an authoritarian, secular, athiest organization. They could not have any belief in God, as that would promote the idea that there is a higher power than the Fuhrer. Religion is the key factor here. The Taliban, Sharia Law, etc are examples of Right-fascism.
As for the other traits……..the inimidation of opponents, corruption, voter suppression, etc……..those are traits of *both* Right-Fascism and Left-Facism.
So, knowing this, the author either: 1)Is ignorant or 2)Knows full well that Nazis are actually Leftists but is being deceptive.
Hitler and the Nazis committed some of the most well-known and worst atrocities in history. So, that’s why the Left must do all it can to try and pin the Nazis to the Right.
The Nazi Party’s official name is the “National Socialist German Worker’s Party”. The word “Nazi” comes from “nationalsozialistischen“, which are the German words for “National Socialist“……….got that? National SOCIALIST.
All that aside, both the far-Right and the far-Left are murderous, collectivist scum. Whether it’s a Right Boot or a Left Boot on your throat makes little difference.

For all their fondness of calling anyone they disagree with a Nazi, I doubt many of these Repuglican clowns could spot a Nazi at the Nuremberg Rallies.
