Rick Santorum Says He’s Not Interested In Helping African-Americans (VIDEO)

In what looks like a desperate bid to win over the mostly white population of voters in Iowa, Rick Santorum revived the old Republican tactic of attacking the African-American community.

While doing some last minute campaigning, Santorum declared that he doesn’t want to help blacks because he thinks they rely too much on welfare which includes Medicare, Social Security, Medicaid, food stamps, and unemployment benefits.

”I don’t want to make black people’s lives better by giving them other people’s money. I want to give them the opportunity to go out and earn their money and provide for themselves and their families. The best way to do that is to get the manufacturing sector of the economy rolling.”

Here’s the video:

The problem is that Republicans have been encouraging the outsourcing of manufacturing jobs for decades now, and have no interest in bringing industries back to America unless workers agree to be paid less than slave laborers in third world countries. Republicans are also responsible for the unemployment rate among African-Americans, which is higher than the overall rate. In fact, Republicans haven’t lifted a finger to aid the black community for a very long time, and given the overt racism in the party and among the candidates, it’s unlikely they would do so now.

Michele Bachmann once said that “African American children were more likely to grow up in stable families during the era of slavery than under President Barack Obama.” Rick Perry owns a hunting camp which was called ‘N***erhead’ for years. Gingrich refers to President Obama as a Kenyan. And Rick Santorum recently said that President Obama should be pro-life because he’s black. So you see, the Republican candidates haven’t exactly treated African-Americans like human beings. Hell, they haven’t even treated them like Americans. Since President Obama won the Presidency, Republicans have made every effort to paint him as an un-American outsider. Republicans don’t want African-Americans to have the ability to provide for themselves. They just want to take everything else away from them too.
