Santorum Calls Ron Paul ‘Disgusting’

There is something very 2012 about an election where the worst thing you can say about a candidate is that he believes in a woman’s right to choose and that he is against the second amendment.

These statements came in robocalls to Iowa voters against, ironically, Rick Santorum, a vocal advocate against women’s rights. Allegedly, the calls came from Ron Paul’s campaign.

Santorum (the man with the Google problem) responded to Fox News by calling Paul “disgusting,” and saying,

“Let’s just lay the record out. I am a [National Rifle Association] member, as is every other member of my family. Okay, our three-and-a-half-year-old is not an NRA member yet.”

Paul’s camp hasn’t officially commented on the robocalls, other than his son Rand saying, “I haven’t heard the robocalls, but the thing is, he hasn’t been scrutinized yet, so it’s his turn.”
