Anti-Gay Hate Group ‘Family Research Institute’ Claims Homosexuals Are Pedophiles
Ever since Penn State coach Jerry Sandusky was arrested for molesting young boys, the anti-gay right-wing has doubled down on their claim that homosexuals are pedophiles. The Family Research Institute continued to push that claim on their website in an article they call a “scholarly investigation” in an effort to generate more hatred of the LGBT community.
The article, which I would call a ‘rant,’ cites Hollywood, Catholic Churches, the Boy Scouts, and college campuses as places where homosexuals hide so that they can molest children. The problem is that their so-called “investigation” has no evidence to back up their hateful claims. Here’s a portion of the ‘rant’ you can read in full, here.

“Universities have a preponderance of heterosexuals. But, the perhaps 8% or so of employees who practice homosexuality are responsible for the great bulk of the child molestations! Everyone knows that homosexuals go ‘where the boys are.’ Thus the Boy Scouts and Catholic Priest scandals. But the University and Hollywood scandals exhibit another rule — ‘where gays cluster, boys suffer.’
Everyone knows ‘the pill’ freed heterosexuals from social control — but it also (indirectly) freed those who practice homosexuality. Before the 1960’s, ‘everyone’ had to conform to a norm that guaranteed a future — each citizen was responsible to get married and produce children. This social milieu was self-reinforcing: ‘If I must be disciplined in my sex life, then everybody else should be as well!’ Thus the citizenry generally worked to suppress those with deviant sexual habits.”
Then, the hate group tried to tie homosexuality to the birth control pill, in what has to be the most asinine and ignorant claim after the “homosexuals are pedophiles” claim.
“But that changed radically with the invention of ‘the pill.’ Shielded by the anonymity of modern life, the pill assured that those with heterosexual tastes could live their sex lives almost free from social discipline. Pregnancies would no longer reveal your liaisons, and no one knew whether you were childless by fate or choice. Good news for homosexuals, because if heterosexuals could ‘do whatever they wanted’ sexually, the notion of fairness inevitably pushed heterosexuals to agree with ‘why punish those with other harmless sexual tastes?’”
The Family Research Institute is totally wrong. Pedophilia is not the same as being a homosexual. There is absolutely no evidence connecting being gay to being pedophiles. Pedophiles are sick individuals who prey upon children. Some prey on girls. Some prey on boys. Some prey on children of both sexes. The LGBT community is solidly against pedophilia and any claim otherwise is just an attempt to villainize homosexuals.

Why is it that they ignore the fact that gay includes lesbians? Because if they recognize that gay includes lesbians then that completely negates their whole “argument” that gays are predators out to molest little boys. “Everyone knows that homosexuals go ‘where the boys are.’” So I guess by their logic, I as a lesbian enjoy molesting young boys? Now that one makes a lot of sense doesn’t it?
These people completely ignore the fact that heterosexual males are arrested and convicted daily for rape, incest, child molestation and murder. It just doesn’t make the news as big as the Catholic church and Sandusky incidents do. If I apply their logic to things then because heterosexual men are arrested for these crimes daily then that makes all heterosexual men incestuous rapists, child molesting murders.
A pedophile is a pedophile regardless of whether they molest young girls or boys. Never do you hear a male pedophile that molests young girls called a heterosexual pedophile so why call one that molests young boy a homosexual pedophile unless you are trying to associate the negativity of pedophilia to the whole homosexual community.
Attacks pseudo research articlle with opinion piece. This should settle the issue once and for all. Article just missing one thing, umm research. Why do I need research, you may inquire? No evidence linking homosexuality and pedophilia? Cite source. Unsubstantiated claims are unsubstantiated.
I have decided that I am highly offended by the inclusion of the word research in their title (name)…it appears that research is not included in any portion of their agenda.
I guess lying is okay if done for Jesus.
