Springer Takes On Fox News, Says Network ‘Bashes Obama Every Single Day’ (VIDEO)

When Jerry Springer calls you out, you know your credibility is in the toilet and you haven’t a modicum of respect beyond the reach of the deluded, uninformed viewers you make even more uninformed each and every day.

The daytime television king of instigating controversy and manufactured fights among the knocked-up, unwashed masses appeared on Fox News’ morning show on Wednesday, and got into a heated exchange with  ”Fox and Friends” host Gretchen Carlson.

Carlson apparently moderated a panel on Newsweek’s controversial cover story, ‘Why Are Obama’s Critics So Dumb?’ Springer, a former mayor of Cincinnati and longtime Democrat, naturally praised the article and defended Obama’s accomplishments. But what really enraged foxbot Carlson, causing her built-in indignance motherboard to nearly melt when encountered with the truth, was when Springer aptly told Carlson he thought it was “a little disingenuous” for Fox News to “complain” that “Newsweek may be a little partisan.”

“We’re here on Fox News, every single day you guys bash President Obama,” said Springer.

“I’m going to take you to task on that because on this panel right here, we have a fair and balanced panel right here,” Carlson said.

What about the rest of the show…Every single morning you guys are slamming Obama. You know you are,” Springer said.

I sometimes seriously wonder why Rupert Murdoch doesn’t simply replace all his network’s hosts with Disney animatronics, but then it occurred to me that those things are likable and come with an off switch. It’s not exactly a state secret that Fox News does not care for the president and repeatedly uses its relatively apolitical shows, like Fox & Friends, to neatly spew anti-Obama propaganda, only in a semi-innocent, banter-heavy fashion.

Gretchen Carlson is right, Fox is “fair and balanced” in much the same way as the Costa Concordia is balanced. It only appears to be resting on its right side (starboard for those who care).
