Jack in the Box commercials are irreverent, silly, edgy, sometimes creepy and often stupidly clever, but are they making political statements? One might be, at least according to the National Organization of Marriage (NOM), one of the leading anti-gay rights organizations.

During the Superbowl, Jack in the Box showed a commercial in which a man marries bacon.

Jack in the Box even has this website where you can turn your picture into a bacon baby.
Is Jack in the Box just having fun or are they demonstrating the marriage equality “slippery slope?” Or worse, are they screwing with the sanctity of marriage? NOM wants to know.

It’s just a joke. Nothing to look too deep into in my opinion.
