Andrew Breitbart has made a living smearing liberals and editing tapes to suit his purposes. He’s an ally of the Tea Party and has a nasty streak that only Newt Gingrich could be proud of. And he demonstrated just how hateful he can be on Friday outside of CPAC.
As Breitbart approached CPAC on Friday evening, he lashed out at the crowd of ‘Occupy CPAC’ protesters, yelled at them to behave themselves. He then called them “freaks and animals” and proceeded to accuse them of being rapists. As Campus Progress reports, Breitbart screamed “Stop raping people!” at the protesters as he was being escorted away by security personnel.

This isn’t the first time that Breitbart has said something controversial and outrageous. At a rally in Massachusetts in September, Breitbart incited violence against liberals and claimed the military would side with the Tea Party if a civil war were to ever occur between conservatives and liberals.
“I’m under attack all the time. They call me gay, there are death threats… There are times where I’m not thinking as clearly as I should, and in those unclear moments, I always think to myself, ‘Fire the first shot.’ Bring it on. Because I know who’s on our side. They can only win a rhetorical and propaganda war. They cannot win. We outnumber them in this country, and we have the guns… I’m not kidding. They talk a mean game, but they will not cross that line because they know what they’re dealing with. And I have people who come up to me in the military, major named people in the military, who grab me and they go, ‘Thank you for what you’re doing, we’ve got your back.”

Andrew Breitbart is a dangerous and hateful individual. He is the embodiment of everything that is wrong with conservatives today. His rhetoric is insanely offensive and his accusations against the Occupiers are pure lies. Breitbart must really be desperate to be in the spotlight. Does his sorry excuse for a blog not get enough attention anymore?
Unless Breitbart is moonlighting as an MMA fighter, perhaps someone needs to counsel him on the dangers of his mouth writing checks that his @ss can’t cash.
This should surprise no one. With every passing year, the right wing escalates their rhetoric. The more they get away with, the more they try to get away with. In today’s America, if one makes enough noise about their ‘conservatism’, then the standards of civil discourse go out the window.
