Breaking: ‘Personhood’ Bill Passes In Virginia Senate Committee

From contraception to controversial trans-vaginal ultrasounds, Virginia is quickly becoming Kansas. Now it seems the state’s senate committee just passed the nauseatingly religious ‘Personhood’ bill that defines life as starting at conception. The paint-wearing Jesus freaks  continue to wage an all out battle against women and the constitution.

According to the AP, “Eight Republicans voted for the measure, and the committee’s seven Democrats opposed it after an hour-long hearing on the bill that is similar to one in Missouri.” However, the bill evidently pass by excluding any provision that would restrict the usage of federally funded contraception.  It seems that the committee chairman, Sen. Steve Martin (not the funny banjo playing comedic actor), threatened to have opponents of the bill arrested during their vociferous opposition.

The controversial bill will now go to the full Senate where it appears that both Democrats and Republicans share an equal amount of seats. Once again, the personal lives of an entire gender of citizens are in the hands of tiny group of male religious gadabouts.
