So long as unemployment declines and the economy slowly rebounds, Republicans will remain steadfast in their quest to hoodwink unsuspecting, sanctimonious, fear-based republican voters with insignificant social issues, such as birth control. It seems ”Everybody Loves Raymond” actress and noted conservative is joining the Rush Limbaugh pissing party as well as the apology of convenience tour following the fallout of their bilious vitriol.
Now, you’re probably wondering “who in the world gives a crap about the political leanings of a former sitcom actress?” Ordinarily her opinions on an interventionist state and multi-lateralism would mean very little, but once she delves into Sandra Fluke bashing she suddenly becomes fair game.
Patricia Heaton spent joined Limbaugh last week in openly bashing conservative victim de jour, Sandra Fluke, over her contraception testimony.
”If every Tweaton sent Georgetown Gal one condom, her parents wouldn’t have to cancel basic cable, & she would never reproduce — sound good?”Heaton posted. (Source: San francisco Chronicle)
Even though Rush Limbaugh eventually capitulated–albeit on the account of watching his entire advertising apparatus, ironically, “pull out,” Heaton remained committed to her utterly disgusting tweets.
“Hey GTown Gal: How about only having sex on Wednesday? (Hump day!),”Heaton wrote in a tweet last Thursday.
“If your parents have to pay for your birth control, maybe they should get a say in who u sleep with. Instant birth control.” (Source: San Francisco Chronicle)
Conservatives really do not understand humor and should probably avoid it like it were, well, the constitution.
Then, over the weekend, Heaton’s twitter account suddenly vanished. It seems Heaton ‘pulled out’ from her Twitter account following many sites snagging screenshots of her horrendously ugly tweets.
According to Entertainment Today, “Crooks and Liars subsequently labeled Heaton a ‘Dittohead Slut Shamer’ for the kindergartenesque behavior while another blogger, Angry Black Lady, called her a ‘coward’ for failing to own up to her offensiveness.”
So after receiving a nasty backlash over her ugly tweets, Mrs. Heaton has returned to Twitter and, begrudgingly, joined Limbaugh in offering an apology of convenience to Miss Fluke.
“I apologized to Ms Fluke last week. I may not agree with her views but I didn’t treat her with respect and I’m sorry. I was wrong. Mea Culpa,” Heaton tweeted moments ago.
Needless to say, Sandra Fluke seems to be the only person that actually makes conservatives accountable. Maybe she can get the Bush Administration to apologize for helping crash the economy and create a mess out of Iraq.
