Bill Maher Exposes The Real Southern Conservatives. They Would Rather Die Hungry (VIDEO)

Author: 10:18 pm

The video you are about to see will spin you around and land you flat on your ass. It is from Bill Maher’s most recent show, aired on Friday March 2012. I was amazed to see the real ‘down south’ that has been well hidden from most of us. I think most of us are of the opinion that we are all equal, but as shown in the video… for some, it is a hard road back from hell.

What I mean is that many people are living in fear of their god, in fear of hell, in fear of the ‘half breed’ President Obama and they are even opposed to healthcare even though they all need it. They are opposed to our ‘Muslim’ President, they accept food stamps and welfare services while opposing it, they are convinced that there is still an unspoken war going on between the confederates and the rest of America.

I say let them have their wish to secede from America, let them set up their own currency and let them become their own world order. If the Amish could be self sufficient then why can’t they pull it off? Why can’t they have the freedom they crave? Why can’t they have the freedom promised by the likes of Limbaugh and Hannity?

One wonders what will happen in a world where these conservative voters are successful in electing enough of their own politicians to have majorities in both the House and in the Senate. It has always been said that Dubya was the most successful Republican President in recent times, he got everything he wanted and was successful in taking care of him special interests by starting two wars from which they profited handsomely. He also was able to strip what little wealth we had and put in in the hands of his bankster friends.

If the conservatives control both the House and the Senate, I think it will be Dubya times[x] 10!!

I think Bill hit the controversy square on the head when he talked about the nobility of fighting for what you believe in. And he’s right. The problem isn’t that these people are unintelligent, necessarily, or ignorant, necessarily, or even prejudiced- by their neighbors’ standards, at least.

The problem is they have been taught to believe in something evil. And they are in such poor economic straits that they grasp for something, ANYTHING so they don’t have to feel like the bottom of the barrel. So it starts, then needs justification, so the hate starts.

EXACTLY like religious belief, prejudice is an ingrained, difficult to uproot set of lies and half-truths designed to enforce a rigid hierarchical social web. And exactly like religious belief, if you decide to get rid of it, you can.

It takes determined effort, and you probably will never totally be free of the body language and verbal cues, but it becomes second nature to override and ignore.

But the true key is to get these poor folks to see that they are being played, being lied to by the system that uses that very lie to keep them where they are. And until we can get the propaganda machine of Fox News off the air, it is unlikely they will be able to see the need to change…
