During a campaign swing through Missouri on Saturday, Rick Santorum made a point of traveling to Cape Girardeau with Missouri Rep. Jo Ann Emerson to kiss Rush Limbaugh’s rings.
Standing in front of about 100 people in a hangar at the Cape Girardeau Regional Airport in Limbaugh’s hometown, Santorum made a play to suck up to the de facto leader of the Republican Party by comparing the visit to visiting Mecca, according to the Southeast Missourian.
“This is my first trip to Cape Girardeau. Jo Ann’s been bragging on you a long time. It’s good to be in the hometown of Rush Limbaugh, which some people see as a trip to Mecca.”
Other than the above statement, Santorum really didn’t say anything else that was newsworthy. But to compare a visit to the hometown of a chauvinist pig who works as a hate merchant to visiting Mecca is outrageous. Mecca is the birthplace of Muhammad, an Islamic prophet. Rush Limbaugh is not a prophet. Not even close. And to make such a comparison really shows how delusional and sick Rick Santorum is. Santorum is praising a guy who wants women to tape their sex lives so he can watch. That says a lot about the kind of sicko Rick Santorum is.
There is also a hint of hypocrisy here. All throughout the Republican primary, Rick Santorum has taken every opportunity he gets to mock Muslims and slam Islam as a danger to America. So why did Santorum compare Limbaugh’s hometown to an Islamic holy place? Shouldn’t that offend evangelical conservatives to their core? Santorum has pretty much done his damnedest to offend nearly everyone in a single statement.

Sarah the serial quitter and Santorum the serial Dominionist have so much in common – lack of intelligence, lack of compassion, lack of vision, lack of solutions.
They ARE the perfect voting pair – Dumber and Dumbest. And that;s why Santorum idolizes Rush, he does exaclty what Ricky can’t – call a slut a slut. (And any women who has EVER had sex for pleasure and did NOT get pregnant – is a slut. Any woman who HAS had sex to GET pregnant, but didn’t check her calendar first is PROBABLY a slut, so he’ll jump in with Rush on that one as well. And Sarah – well, just look at her, Ricky will USE her, she’s only a woman, but at heart, he knows – she’s a slut. Aren’t they all?
