Steve Doocy of Fox and Friends claims there’s no war on women. That it has been manufactured by the Democrats to win votes.
“The economy, not working for the President, as a campaign issue, you know, the stimulus didn’t work out so well—and he’s got a lot of problems, so in the last couple of months, what they have done, the Democrats, is they have invented this phony war on women. They said Republicans are against women. There’s not really a war on women, there’s a war for women because they would like to have as many women vote for their candidate.”
Today, Mitch McConnell also chimed in agreement.
Oh really? Let’s look at just some of what the Republicans are attempting to do, to take away the rights of women in this country:
Forcing women to endure and pay for vaginal probes even if their doctor doesn’t feel one is necessary.
De-funding of Planned Parenthood – a source used by thousands of women who can’t afford health insurance.
Trying to overturn the Lilly Ledbetter law, thereby making it more difficult for women to sue employers who use discriminatory pay practices based on gender.
A bill put forth in Arizona that would give employers the right to fire a woman who uses birth control.
Doocy makes the claim too, that the stimulus package isn’t working for Obama.
Republicans have fought Obama every step of the way and shot down his jobs bill.
If you take a look at the graph by the Bureau Of Labor Statistics, you can plainly see that more jobs have been created under the Obama Administration then under Bush, who by the way, started his 2000 term in a booming economy.
The GOP say whatever they think will win them the election. They are losing large numbers of women and by simply stating the lie that there is no war, and believe they can and will win back the female vote.
Fortunately, the majority of American men and women see right through their nonsense.
