I guess we need to cancel the election. Apparently there is no need to do all of that pesky voting and tedious counting that Americans are entitled to do in a Presidential election. Why? Because Mitt Romney already thinks he’s President.
On Monday night, ABC’s Diane Sawyer sat down for an interview with Mitt Romney and his wife Ann. During that interview, Mitt Romney said that President Obama and his family should “start packing” because it’s his turn to be President, as if the vote of the people doesn’t matter.
The first real question asked by Sawyer during the interview concerned whether or not Mitt Romney will release 12 years of tax returns like President Obama is doing, and to put it bluntly, Romney is scared to release more tax returns that will seriously anger the American people.
“Well, the president is going to try and do everything possible to divert from the attention being focused upon his record as president and the failure of his economic policies,” Romney said. “So he’s going to try and make this campaign about the fact that I’ve been successful, that I’ve made a lot of money. So he wants to be able to get all the details on each year and how much money I made this year and that year. I’m not going to get into that.”
Romney then accused Democrats of dividing America with class warfare because he doesn’t want to release more tax returns. Of course this isn’t about how much money Mitt Romney has made. It’s about seeing just how low of a percentage he’s actually paid in taxes over the years and the efforts he may have made to avoid paying his fair share. When Romney earlier released two years of tax returns, we discovered that he once paid a lower rate than most Americans do. Romney took a beating over that, so instead of showing the American people the rest of his damning tax returns, he’d rather hide them from the public. Most people would refer to Romney as a coward.
Romney once again told the lie about how the economy hasn’t improved under President Obama’s policies, despite the fact that the economy has improved with over 25 consecutive months of job growth and a falling unemployment rate. Romney also left out the fact that the American auto industry has recovered to be once again the best in the world under President Obama’s watch. Romney would have let Detroit go bankrupt, thus destroying millions of jobs across the country.
Romney also tried to claim that he hasn’t proposed any eliminations of government agencies, even though he has recently targeted the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Mitt then repeated the lie that 92% of women have lost their jobs since Obama took office. Even Fox News called that figure an “accounting trick.”
Sawyer then asked Romney if he would have signed the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act had he been President, but as he has done previously, Romney has once again dodged the question.
MITT ROMNEY: It’s certainly a piece of legislation I have no intend– intention of changing. I wasn’t there three years ago–
DIANE SAWYER: But would you have signed it?
MITT ROMNEY: –so I– I’m not going to go back and look at all the prior laws and say had I been there which ones would I have supported and signed, but I certainly support equal pay for women and– and have no intention of changing that law, don’t think there’s a reason to.
In other words, Romney would not have sign Lilly Ledbetter into law. A non-answer on this question equals a no. Mitt Also expressed his wish that Roe v. Wade be overturned so that states can ban any and all abortions, even in cases of incest, rape and medical emergency. Romney wants to allow states to dictate what women get to do with their own reproductive health. Once again, Romney betrays women.
After some time spent talking to Ann Romney, Sawyer asked Mitt and Ann what they would say to President Obama and his wife right now, and as usual, both feel that the Presidency is something they are entitled to.
DIANE SAWYER: So in this moment, as it begins toward November, what would each of you say to President and Mrs. Obama?
MITT ROMNEY: Well, start packing. That’s what I’d like to– like to say. Obviously we have a very different view. The– the president I’m– I’m sure– wants another four years. But the first years didn’t go so well…
ANN ROMNEY: …I’ve never– met Barack Obama, but I– I believe it’s– Mitt’s time… I think it is– it’s our turn now.
Doesn’t that make you want to just hand the White House over to them on a silver platter? Again, let’s not even have an election this November. I mean, it’s sooo obvious that President Obama is going to lose anyway. Women support him by 19 points over Romney. Hispanics overwhelmingly support him over Romney. African-Americans also overwhelmingly support President Obama over Mitt. But these groups don’t matter. Just ask Mitt Romney. He thinks President Obama should pack up and prepare to leave town without a campaign. Ann Romney says it’s Mitt’s turn to be President as if being President is akin to being the next rich kid in line at a swanky night club, demanding that he be let in because of his name and money. It’s really presumptive. I thought Republicans were supposed to be against entitlement but I guess when you’re a rich white guy like Mitt Romney, you feel like you have a right to being entitled to everything. Is it just me, or did Mitt and Ann just order the first black President to pack up his stuff and get out of their house?
As usual, Mitt Romney told the same lies and made the same false claims about President Obama that he has been desperately trying to push. Too bad the current economic hot streak contradicts Romney’s claims. And as usual, Mitt Romney was given a chance to go to bat for women and he struck out by basically telling them that he would overturn their reproductive rights and that he doesn’t support fair pay for women. Mitt went from being outraged on behalf of women to saying he wants to make. Them subservient and unequal to men. Mr. Romney, you sir, are not a champion for women’s rights. You’re a champion for cavemen back in the Stone Age. This interview revealed Mitt as a clueless wealthy wooden lying say anything candidate who has a problem with women and feels entitled to be President. He’s the kind of man America loves to hate. And apparently, Mitt loves to make us hate him
Here’s the video:

They mean that it is their turn to take the economy back down the toilet like Bush did for 8 years. Democrats bring it back up and then the republicans crash it back down. Hopefully the American people will remember what Bush did and not vote for this guy.
