On Thursday night’s edition of the Colbert Report on Comedy Central, Stephen Colbert tackled same-sex marriage and slammed the anti-gay Christian right-wing activists who claim Jesus Christ as an ally in their cause.
During the show’s first segment, Colbert played a clip of anti-gay pastor Robert Jeffress of First Baptist Dallas claiming that President Obama has contradicted Jesus by coming out in favor of same-sex marriage. Colbert then reached for a Bible to read what Jesus said about homosexuality, and humor ensued.
COLBERT: “Yes, Obama’s contradicting the Jesus. And I right now would like to read to you what the Jesus said about homosexuality. I’d like to, except he never said anything about it. Evidently, Jesus was so filled with rage that he was speechless. But I am confident that he condemned it all the time in private when he was hanging out with those twelve other dudes at their elaborate dinner parties where they all sat on the same side of the table. Just living the bachelor life together, drinking wine and working on their washboard abs.”

|Barack Obama’s Gay Blasphemy|
Colbert humorously slammed anti-gay conservatives by pointing out that Jesus never said a word about same-sex marriage or homosexuality. And he also implied that Jesus may have been gay. But I don’t have a problem with Jesus being gay, because gay or straight, I’m a fan of Jesus and his teachings to love one another and take care of the poor and the sick, unlike those who clearly do not understand the word of Jesus at all. I’m talking to you, conservatives.
