Here’s A Reason To Vote For Obama Even If You (Mistakenly) Think He’s A Corporate Sell Out (INFOGRAPHIC)

“Bla bla bla! I hate both parties! They’re exactly the same! Bla bla bla!” Allow me to disprove this with a handy graphic provided by Occupy Posters:

Allow me to remind all of you liberal Obama haters of four simple sets of facts:

1. The conservative Supreme Court that normally claims to love states’ rights made a perfect 180 degree reversal in order to force Florida to stop the 2000 recount. Why? So they could hand the election to Bush. This would not have happened with a liberal court.

2. The conservative Supreme Court took the case Citizens United v FEC and used it as an excuse to radically change how we hold elections in this country for the sole purpose of giving the GOP an advantage by equating corporate money with free speech. This would not have happened with a liberal court.

3. Obama has put two center left Justices on the bench. There is no realistic scenario in which Obama would put a conservative on the bench.

4. Romney would put more hard right conservatives on the bench and that would give the GOP decades of biased rulings that would undermine every single item on the liberal agenda. They don’t hesitate to flaunt their politics now. What do you suppose it would be like with a 6-3 majority of right-wing ideologues? Also, there are no realistic scenarios in which Romney would put even a moderate conservative on the bench.

If you’re still blinded by the “both sides are exactly the same” meme that I just completely disproved in a couple of minutes, congratulations! You’re going to get the country you so richly deserve!
