Trayvon Martin Murderer George Zimmerman Ordered To Surrender In 48 Hours For Lying To Court

The Florida judge presiding over the Trayvon Martin murder case has ordered George Zimmerman to surrender to authorities in 48 hours. The judge made the decision after prosecutors successfully proved that Zimmerman lied to court in order to go free on bond.

It turns out that George Zimmerman’s wife purposefully misled the court about the couple’s finances, claiming they had little money while conveniently leaving out the fact that the Zimmermans have $135,000 in donations through a website set up by Zimmerman himself. Zimmerman’s bond was only set at $150,000. According to the Assistant State Attorney, Zimmerman and his wife used code during phone conversations about moving the money while he was in custody, leading to his bond being revoked on Friday.

It has also been revealed that Zimmerman failed to disclose and hand in a second passport. Zimmerman’s attorney has taken the blame for not surrendering the second passport.

Zimmerman is charged with murdering 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in a gated neighborhood in Sanford, Florida. Martin had been walking back to his father’s home after making purchases at a convenience store when he was gunned down. Zimmerman has pleaded not guilty in the case.
