Tuesday night was already going badly for Tom Barrett. The Democratic Candidate for Governor in the Wisconsin recall election, had just conceded to Scott Walker, after an extremely contentious race. At least one person in the room, thought that decision was premature. As Barrett was greeting and thanking supporters, a woman came up to him and reportedly asked if she could slap him. Barrett, ever the politician, leaned down and replied, “‘I’d rather you hug me.”
Nope! She slapped him. In the face. Things like that, are the reason people like to caution you, ‘Don’t ask if it can get any worse.’ It can.
Barrett was, of course, uninjured and continued to chat up his supporters.
