Glenn Beck (yes, people somewhere still listen to him) is apparently a huge fan of Glee, although he thinks the show is the worst thing to happen to teenagers since Clearasil and hair product (cause if a teenager isn’t hiding his or her face in shame, that teenager is up to no good).

It was a year ago I was watching the show Glee with my wife and we watched it like this—[gasp]—I mean, it’s horrifying some of the things that they are teaching high schoolers, but it’s brilliantly done, it’s brilliantly done. It’s produced brilliantly. It’s music, brilliant; it’s acting, brilliant; it’s cinematography, brilliant. I said this to her at the end, this was a year or a year and a half ago, ‘We lose, there is no way to beat that.’
Beck has a solution. He’s going to make his own really cool show with really cool conservative artists, and liberals will be panting with jealousy.
We spent about a year now trying to put together a push back with artists, with music. Not the stereotypical conservative Lee Greenwood music, I call it my Oedipus project because the left will be making out with me and they will never see it coming. Somebody will say, ‘don’t you know who produced that music?’ ‘No, I really like it, it’s great.’ Oh yes, yes it is.
My guess is the heroes will be the ones that throw the slushees.

Beck putting on an Oedipus show. Does he even know what the story of Oedipus is about? It ain’t about making out with Beck – unless he’s your mama. Good grief, he can’t even get Greek myths right. It’s been in production a year? How long does it take Regressives to write music, anyway? Is he aware “Glee” is a weekly show on TV?
