There are many people who insist that abortions should be illegal. They hold up their pictures of aborted fetuses, they protest in front of abortion clinics but how do they respond when asked what the punishment should be if abortions become illegal and a woman goes through with one?
Their answers may surprise you.

The lack of forethought of these people is troubling, but not unexpected. They were told what to think, and they bought it. Question authority? Not when it’s Jeezus hisself. (That’s the point of the ‘invisible ultimate authority’, there’s no higher court, and you are already guilty.)
If you truly believe in “adopt, don’t abort”, then start adopting and shut up about it. Otherwise, recognize that whatever you think your God wants – and almost ALL protestors are religious followers/dupes – the simple fact is that there are already FAR too many people on the planet. And the rate of population growth continues to increase, and population grows at a logarithmic rate. Your ancient “be fruitful and multiply” has come to pass, and should be considered passe, exactly like your religion.
Every aborted zygote (NOT baby, NOT person, NOT aware, NOT “imbued with the divine spark”, but a collection of cells not yet capable of awareness or sensation) is one less mouth to feed, one less body to clothe, job to create, and most important – one less potential reproducer.
Of course, the Republican/Fox News solution to this is War. It’s profitable and it kills reproducers. Your call.

Think about it. No children, and if you are a nasty (or fundamentalist Christian-type) person, you will tell yourself the myth that they have a greater chance of contracting AIDS…
Either way it’s win-win. So what’s your problem?
That was unexpected. I’m not sure whether to be offended or not that these anti-abortion protestors haven’t spent even one minute considering the pregnant woman as a human being.
