Allen West (R-FL) says that Obama wants to make us his slaves because he proposed raising taxes on the wealthiest Americans. He also said Democrats were racist: that “true racism” is white liberals who want to be the “masters” of black conservatives.
Wait a minute. Obama—who is black—wants everyone to be his slave and white liberals want black conservatives to be their slaves?
In an interview on FOX with Mike Huckabee, West said:
“We are creating economic dependency and I call it slavery. It’s a different form of slavery. It’s not physical, but it can be even worse because it trounces the indomitable entrepreneurial spirit of the United States of America.”

His point is that Americans have become too dependent on social programs, like Social Security, as the jobs have declined, thus creating a nation of slaves and “destroying the black community” as well as creating “economic dependence” which he descibes as “a form of modern, 21st century slavery.”
This is A LOT of “slave” talk from a black man.
In order to further the Tea Party’s agenda, West plays the martyr and really socks it to the “white liberals” who are trying to make West their slave when he says that they don’t like that a black man (West) broke away from their (while liberals) dependency class and is now speaking out against it. He takes a holier-than-thou attitude (as usual) and manipulates racism. A black man saying that white people want to make black people slaves is acceptable because he is black. John Boehner can’t say it, neither can Mitch McConnell or Eric Cantor. But West can and now that the slave gates are open, he can’t stop himself.
Slave rhetoric aside, let’s focus on why there are a lack of jobs in this country. Republicans BLOCKED the Obama jobs bill. Republicans (of all colors, including orange) have blocked everything positive and progressive the Democrats want to do. Then, after they block jobs and economic growth, they blame the other side and say that we want them to be our slaves. Kudos for such an outlandish and ridiculous campaign strategy. The message only works within the lunatic fringe of The Tea Party. The rest of thinking Americans see this as nothing more than a cheap ploy from a black politician who goes against his own heritage and the real struggles his race has had to endure. Sorry West, this white liberal doesn’t buy your malarkey and for the record, I’m not interested in you being my slave.
