Sarah Palin has yet to be invited to the GOP convention in Tampa next month, and it hasn’t gone unnoticed. When asked by Newsweek about the convention, she did what she does best. She played the victim.
“What can I say?” she responded in an email from Alaska, when asked by Newsweek about the convention, just before heading to Michigan to deliver an Obama-thumping speech. “I’m sure I’m not the only one accepting consequences for calling out both sides of the aisle for spending too much money, putting us on the road to bankruptcy, and engaging in crony capitalism.”
“In accepting those consequences,” she added, “one must remember this isn’t Sadie Hawkins and you don’t invite yourself and a date to the Big Dance.”
Despite the fact that no formal invitations to the convention have gone out yet, according to Andrea Saul, a spokesperson for the Romney campaign, Sarah Palin appears to be practically begging to go. She certainly picked the right way to do it, equating her lack of invitation thus far to receiving an invitation to a high school dance, an accurate reflection of her maturity level.
Her message is astonishingly hypocritical though, given her own record.
She claims she calls out both sides for spending too much, and putting us on the road to bankruptcy.
- As Mayor of Wasilla, Alaska, she turned 3.9 million dollars in debt into 20 million dollars in debt, in just 6 years.
- She’s endorsed Congressman Paul Ryan’s budget, despite the fact that his budget would explode the deficit.
- As Governor of Alaska she spent 26 million on the “Bridge to Nowhere.”
- Thanks to a law she signed as Governor, Sarah Palin’s reality show received 1.2 million dollars in tax credits.
- As Mayor of Wasilla, a town with a population of less than 7,000, she requested 27 million in earmarks.
- As Governor of Alaska she requested 197 million dollars in earmarks, more earmarks per person than any other state.
- As Mayor of Wasilla she spent $50,000 of the city’s funds in order to redecorate her own office.
- As Governor of Alaska she unlawfully used her authority to try and have a State Trooper fired.
I could go on and on showing what a hypocrite she is, but I think you get the point.
Instead of choosing to address the fact that she’s a walking gaffe machine, and that many Americans, including members of her own party, have had a negative view of her since 2008, she’s chosen to play the victim. She hasn’t been invited to the dance yet, and instead of addressing the fact that it’s probably because she’s not that likable (or smart), she’s chosen the “they’re just jealous of me” excuse.
Personally, I do hope she’s invited to the convention. I think it would be good for America. Mitt Romney is boring, and having Sarah “The Quitta from Wasilla” give a speech might be what America needs to feel reinvigorated about this election, and to remind American just how crazy the people who support Romney really are.
She’s already shown that she’s willing to say anything to get attention, she’ll change positions on an issue if she thinks it will win her support, and she believes the failed policies from the Bush Administration can still succeed. Maybe she’s just auditioning for Mitt Romney’s VP spot. We can only hope.

Nice photo of her, she looks like one on the Mackenzie brothers, or she’s hacking a loogie.
She is a self centered egomanical exmean cheerleader..thats why republican voters love her,the RNC establishment will use her when it can, jusy like they use the TeaParty and before that..the evangelicals…however, they would never allow her into any position of real policy influence or power, she is basically old news…however, she just won’t go away…she does after all have to earn a living off her brand.
