Limbaugh Claims Obama Hates America

Once again, Limbaugh throws chum to the Tea Party sharks, giving them false ammunition to vote against the best interests of what this country needs: Jobs, infrastructure, affordable health care and most importantly, a sense of community. Limbaugh and his like-minded followers buy into this crazy idea that Americans must now all live as if they are survivalists. Help from your fellow human being is considered a handout and these “handouts” are draining our economy. According to them, you need to get a job, get a gun and share nothing. If you’re old and sick with no money, too bad! If you are unable to work because you have a disease—you are part of the problem. “I just don’t want to have to pay FOR YOU!” They have taken greed to a whole new level.

On his radio program Limbaugh blasts both Elizabeth Warren and the president for stating that if you are a success, you got help. You didn’t do it all by yourself. And they are right.

Warren: “There is nobody in this country who got rich on his own. Nobody! You built a factory out there? Good for you! But I want to be clear: You moved your goods to market on the roads the rest of us paid for. You hired workers the rest of us paid to educate. You, uh, were safe in your factory because of police forces and fire forces that the rest of us paid for. You didn’t have to worry that marauding bands would come and seize everything at your factory and hire someone to protect against this because of the work the rest of us did.

Obama: “If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen. The Internet didn’t get invented on its own. Government research created the Internet so that all the companies could make money off the Internet.”

Limbaugh: “…I’ll tell you what. I think it can now be said, without equivocation — without equivocation — that this man hates this country. He is trying—Barack Obama is trying—to dismantle, brick by brick, the American dream. There’s no other way to put this.”

As someone who often reports on the insanity that is Limbaugh, I hear people say that he is an idiot and no attention should be paid to him. I am in agreement that Limbaugh is an idiot and though it’s recently been disclosed that he’s paid people in India to like his page Rush Babes For America on Facebook, the bottom line is that this man influences the big players in the GOP.  That alone is utterly frightening. It illustrates how much power Limbaugh actually has within the Republican Party and until the GOP finds a positive set of values and beliefs, Limbaugh must be exposed for every single lie he spews.
