    “obama when says unless his bill passes there will not any cheks for ss, veterans or the disabled in august.”

    Because that is not what he said. What he said was that, with the coffers empty, that their may not be checks. Which is absolutely true.

    Words matter, and the correct work matters a lot. There is a huge difference between “will not” and “may not”. A huge difference.

    Do you remember when President Clinton, famously, said “It depends on what the meaning of is is”. As funny, and frustrating, as that was, he was absolutely correct.

    Laws, and meanings, on separate words. This is why legislation is gone over so thoroughly before it is passed. Each word matters. And a lot of people, like you, are not paying attention. They take the meaning in the manner that they want to take the meaning. Even if it’s wrong.

    Good article but I wish you would have included the FOX News Florida lawsuit where:

    The attorneys for Fox, owned by media baron Rupert Murdoch, argued the First Amendment gives broadcasters the right to lie or deliberately distort news reports on the public airwaves. (http://bit.ly/1jVua5)

    Just wish the Tea Party folks would stop drinking the kool-aid concocted by Norquist, Rove and the Fundamentalists.

    To the tune of “Oak and Ash and Thorn”:

    Hatred, of old, made the timid man bold
    And rallied him to the attack;
    Greed is the key to the hearts of the free
    Even when they feel no lack,
    And Fear is the tool to manage the fool,
    And it needn’t be any too clear;
    Here to your hand are the tools of command:
    They’re Hatred, Greed, and Fear.
