Shocker: Man-Made Global Warming Verified By Koch Brothers Sponsored Study!
The Koch Brothers are the leading funder of climate disinformation in the world. Their Heartland Institute, Americans for Prosperity (AFP) and its sister company, FreedomWorks, the non-profit organization heavily involved in the Tea Party Movement, are all connected with Oil barons, Libertarians David and Charles Koch of Koch Industries. These groups which do not disclose their donor funders, are huge Lobbyists and work relentlessly to argue against the existence of man-made climate change, as well as any legislation or policy changes holding corporations responsible for polluting emissions. Heartland Institute is hailed as “The world’s most prominent think tank promoting skepticism about man-made climate change.” – The Economist, May 26, 2012. Deceptive and covert is the Modus Operandi of these organizations. Greenpeace USA has this to say about the Kochs:
Charles G. Koch and David H. Koch have a vested interest in delaying climate action: they’ve made billions from their ownership and control of Koch Industries, an oil corporation that is the second largest privately held company in America (which also happens to have an especially poor environmental record). It’s timely that more people are now aware of Charles and David Koch and just what they’re up to. A growing awareness of these oil billionaires’ destructive agenda has led to increased scrutiny and resistance from people and organizations all over the United States.

So why would a Koch brother fund a Climate Change Study?
The Founder and Scientific Director, Richard Muller was a known climate change skeptic.
An op/ed set to be published next week in the New York Times will summarize BEST’s findings with regard to global temperature trends. From a copy of the op/ed, Converted Skeptic, circulating on the web Richard Muller is quoted:
CALL me a converted skeptic. Three years ago I identified scientific issues that, in my mind, threw doubt on the very existence of global warming. Now, after organizing an intensive research effort involving a dozen scientists, I’ve concluded that global warming is real, that the prior estimates of the rate were correct, and that cause is human.
My turnaround is the result of the careful and objective analysis by the “Berkeley Earth Surface Temperature” team, founded by me and my daughter Elizabeth. Our results show that the average temperature of the Earth’s land has risen by two and a half degrees Fahrenheit over the past 250 years, and one and a half degrees Fahrenheit over the most recent 50 years. Moreover, it appears likely that essentially all of this increase is due to the human emission of greenhouse gases.
The United States, once expected to be the world leader in comprehensive climate change technologies and policies, is lagging behind. In Britain, the low-carbon manufacturing sector has been one of the few to grow through their economic slump. British Conservatives, rather than posing an obstacle, are directing aggressive climate change policies in much of the world. According to Nick Robins of HSBC Global Research, emerging economies like China, India and Brazil are now enthusiastically pursuing aggressive climate change policies. Just last Wednesday, Australia’s House of Representatives passed a carbon tax, which is expected to easily clear the country’s Senate.
“This has become a partisan political issue here [in America] in a way it has not elsewhere,” said Andrew Kohut, president of the Pew Research Center.
Lies and misinformation are about to be spot-lighted in a huge way when the findings of the Independent BEST study along with its conclusions are revealed not only to Americans but the entire industrialized world. Republicans and other skeptics will no longer be able to effectively dispute climate change facts or argue that humanity is not part of the problem. Ironically, this Koch Brother funded study will prove once and for all that climate change is not Left-wing propaganda.
