Radio Host Compares House Candidate To Adolf Hitler For Supporting Social Security (VIDEO)
North Dakota radio host Chris Berg lashed out at Congressional Candidate, Pam Gulleson with a ridiculous statement and quote from “How To Kill 11 Million People,” by Andy Andrews. Gulleson had stated that Social Security wasn’t broken. Andrews compared her to Hitler, saying:
You ever seen this book? It’s “How To Kill 11 Million People.” And I wanna read an excerpt out of this book to you today, and share with you how it translates into somebody who is running for office here in the great state of North Dakota. Here it is: “How fortunate for leaders,” and this from Adolf Hitler, “How fortunate for leaders that men do not think. Make the lie big, make it simple, and just keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it.” It says, “the great masses of the people will more easily fall victim to a big lie than a small one.”

Let me ask you a question. Do you think this country right now is headed in the right direction? Most people right now would say absolutely not. And when you think about leaders, when you think about outstanding leaders, that you know, that you’ve seen in your life, are those people that stand up and tell you the truth, even though you might not want to hear it, but you know you can count on getting the facts and getting the truth of them? Or, is it the person that gives you the binkie and the nice little warm blanket and sits down and tells you about Santa Claus. I’m going to presume that it was the first one that I just suggested when you think about great leadership. And I bring this up in the context of Pam Gulleson who’s running for the U.S. House here in North Dakota. Yesterday I get an email from her campaign celebrating the 77th anniversary of Social Security!
Maybe it’s just me, Chris, but I sincerely fail to see how supporting a nearly-eighty year successful government program makes you anything like Hitler.

Berg has since sort of apologized, stating,“I sincerely apologize to Pam if she, or anyone, thinks I was trying to compare her to Hitler.”
