Sean Hannity – ‘Paul Ryan Has Become A National Sex Symbol’ (AUDIO)
Seems a bit of a bold statement to make. I guess, though, when you’re used to conservatives being amazingly unappealing, you take what you can get. The GOP desperately needed some sex appeal, and conservative pundits simply cannot stop touting his physique. I haven’t seen anything that impressive, but as an immoral liberal I guess I must see a lot more half-naked people and have a better base to judge from.
Sean Hannity said, “Ryan’s selection sent a jolt of electricity, and the conservative base, including myself, were energized by it. It allows Romney to now appeal to younger voters. In one week, he’s become a national sex symbol.” [Emphasis added]

It looks like ol’ Hannity might have revealed a bit more there than he intended…purely speculation, of course. It is interesting to note that the only people who are looking at Paul Ryan as a sex symbol are conservatives. Coincidentally, the only people looking at Ryan as a viable candidate instead of a clear danger to our nation are also conservatives. When the right-wing needs to make a blatant appeal to emotion in order to try and increase the likability of a candidate, you know they’re getting desperate. Paul Ryan represents a fiscal danger to our country with his laughable ideas for the budget, and trying to make him appeal to voters through bragging about sexual appeal is quite laughable as well.
This is, in the end, just another statement of how incredibly shallow the right-wing often is – after all, studies have shown conservatives to be lazy thinkers.

Somewhat late to this article and the subsequent comments. I agree that it is insulting to “Gays” to label Paul Ryan or Sean Hannity as such. The fact that President Obama endorses Gay marriage, in and of itself, says much. If having a Sex Symbol is so important to the Republicans, who really gives a damn? NO right minded individual is going to elect a President because he’s “Sexy”. Or, I should say Vice President. I only watch Sean Hannity to see what kind of nonsense the Right is perpetuating lately, with guests ranging from Dick Cheney to Ann Coulter and Michelle Bachman. I actually feel that selecting Paul Ryan may give the Democratic Party a boost. With his outrageous views on the budget, Medicare and other things, he’s showing himself to have no idea as to what the middle class is all about. So, simply put, he just represents the typical upper-class Republicans. Let’s just concentrate on putting President Obama in office once more, and having him get on with the business of trying to straighten out this messed up Country. Perhaps Ryan will also help make it possible to get more Democrats elected to the Senate/Congress. President Obama can use all the help he can get.
Calling Eddie Munster a “sex symbol” is disturbing enough but for Sean Insannity to say? Not only do I need a shower but I need to stick pins in my eyes as well. Very creepy and very disturbing, indeed.
As I recall, quite a few right wing pundits lauded Sarah Palin when she first appeared as McCain’s running mate … lauded her for her physical appearance. I believe the term used was: “She’s hot!”
So perhaps these Republicans let their loins do their thinking for them.
