CNN is reporting that an unknown gunman opened fire shortly before 9AM Friday morning on corner of 5th Ave and 33rd St. in front of the Empire State Building.

The police have reported one fatality in addition to the shooter who was killed by the police.

One eyewitness said the shooter, male, ran up behind one man and shot him in the head.

There are no other details at the moment and we will be updating this story and more information becomes available.
