In his latest shining speech of brilliance, Limbaugh attempts to tie in the horrifying shooting (all shootings are horrifying) that occurred this morning in New York with Obama’s rhetoric. He says, “Well, he was fired yesterday. He went out there and he killed his boss. I wonder if Obama’s constant warfare on bosses and so forth might have led this guy to pull the trigger.”

Obama’s “constant war on bosses and so forth,” I guess, must have led him to commit murder. If it wasn’t for the fact that Rush is a public figure, and that he is being serious, that accusation would be almost laughable. He continues with,

Well, here you got a guy shooting his boss for being fired. Who’s out there ripping bosses to shreds every day? Who’s out there ripping businesses to shreds every day? And who’s out there killing jobs every day?

So, yes. We’re trying to illustrate absurdity by being absurd. The absurd way the news media, the rest of the left, try to capitalize and politicize any terrible crime that they think they can associate with Republicans or conservatives. We’ve seen it time and time again.

So, why not give them a dose of their own medicine here? You think Obama, you think the Democrats have any blood on their hands with this shooting today?

He directly says that he’s blaming Obama because of other killings being tied to right-wing rhetoric. Studies show that right-wing rhetoric promotes hate, and in each killing that the right has responsibility for, there is generally other evidence as well. Rush is showing off his desperation and ignorance here in a blatant–and baseless–plea to accuse the left of something, anything. 

It’s disgusting. Just another chapter in the book of right-wing ignorance and fear-mongering.
