Sandra Fluke is not interested in “debating” or indulging Dana Loesch, despite the fact that Loesch, editor at Breitbart.com, has been tweeting to and publicly challenging her, reminiscent of Clubber Lang courting Rocky in Rocky III.
The Daily Caller reports that Loesch had this to say about Fluke showing up at the RNC “pushing her agenda.”
“If Sandra Fluke is going to come here and talk about women’s issues, then why not talk to actual conservative women about women’s issues? I mean, that’s the whole point. You can’t just come here and hold a press conference and not take any questions. You can’t just go on MSNBC and say whatever you want. Is she an advocate or propagandist? Which one is she? If she’s an advocate, she’s completely willing to have a discussion on the issues. Democrats don’t speak for women. They don’t speak for me. I would like to hear why she thinks she speaks for all women because she obviously does not.”
If this is true Dana, I ask why it’s okay for Mitt Romney to dictate what questions will or will not be asked in an interview when he is running for PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES? Romney forbade a reporter to ask him questions about abortion and Todd Akin (R-Mo) and his controversial “legitimate rape” comment. Why does this standard only apply to Republicans?
As a woman who represents Rock The Slut Vote—fighting against the War On Women—I understand why Fluke refuses to talk with Dana. Loesch, who calls Fluke a “propagandist,” isn’t interested in having a reasonable debate. She wants to bully and ridicule. I have been asked to appear on extreme conservative shows hosted by women and I have viewed guests who have agreed to a conversation. They are never given a real chance. They are talked down to, ridiculed and bullied. No one wins and it’s a waste of time. It’s one more way for Republicans to distract from what is really going on. They argue, scream and call us names like “Dirty Hippies” or “Sluts.” They criticize us for saying the word vagina publicly and guess what? We don’t care. We aren’t going to waste our time arguing for the sake of arguing. We are going to continue to inform and encourage thinking men and women to vote their best interests.
