Prosecutors at the State Attorney’s office released findings of forensic results that could throw the defense of George Zimmerman out the window. The forensic results found no evidence that Trayvon had any interaction with the gun of George Zimmerman, the watch captain charged with the killing of Trayvon.
Zimmerman had previously charged that Trayvon was on top of him, bashing his head repeatedly into the concrete sidewalk, smothering his nose and mouth, while trying to grab the gun of Zimmerman, which was holstered on his person at the time.
Zimmerman maintains that he was forced to shoot Trayvon in an attempt to quell the situation and render Trayvon’s threatening behaviour ineffective. This new evidence supports the theory that Trayvon was not on top of Zimmerman wrestling him for the alleged murder weapon. Zimmerman is charged with the murder of Trayvon Martin.
Zimmerman and his wife have previously been in trouble for misleading the judge in the case, who was led to believe that Zimmerman was in fact broke and as a result the judge had set a low bail for Zimmerman. After it was revealed that Zimmerman was in control of much more funds that previously shown, the judge later raised the bail amount, further raising concerns that Zimmerman has indeed been untruthful about the real facts of what happened that fateful night of Feb 26th.
The Orlando Sentinal writes…”Among the new evidence is a series of DNA reports from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. They reveal that DNA tests on Zimmerman’s gun and holster found evidence of multiple handlers, but none that matched Trayvon Martin, the unarmed 17-year-old Zimmerman fatally shot in Sanford Feb. 26.”
