In yet another tale of people successfully enjoying their second amendment “rights,” Republic Airlines flight attendant Jaclyn Luby’s gun was accidentally fired when she inadvertently brought it to work with her. The gun, which she had a permit for, was in her purse when she went through a security checkpoint. According to NBC 10 Philadelphia’s website, Luby, 27, claims she “forgot she had the loaded gun in her carry-on as she passed through airport security at Terminal C around 6:50 a.m. [Sunday]”
The gun was discovered at the checkpoint and a Philadelphia Police officer was removing the bullets, when the weapon discharged into a near-by breakroom. The bullet somehow managed to miss any bystanders, or potential terrorists. The police officer has been assigned additional weapons training, and desk duty, pending an internal affairs investigation. Luby, was cited for ‘disorderly conduct.’
