Poor John Oliver! All he wanted to do was get a raise, maybe some sick time, improve his working conditions a little. But he quickly found out that one does not simply go on strike and use Sir Patrick Stewart as a scab worker unless one wants to be out of a job! Or, as Jon Stewart put it, “As far as I’m concerned, I just traded up my ’83 Toyota for a Maserati!”
Patrick Stewart was very tempted to come on full-time, “I love this job, it seems to me to be incredibly easy.”
Of course, once he found out how much (little) Oliver gets paid, the good Captain went on strike as well! Solidarity for the Brits!
